This is an ideal location to see all the wonderful attractions that Barcelona has to offer. The apartment is only a couple of blocks away from Passeig de Gracia which is the main shopping street in the city. It is also very close to La Ramblas (10 mins walk), the port, gothic quarter, art galleries and beaches.

The apartment is located in a splendid Modernist building on c/ Muntaner in L'Eixample district. The building includes marble entrance hall, elevator and roof terrace.

The 1st floor apartment, which overlooks the square at Consell de Cent, retains all the original features including high corniced ceilings, wooden floor and traditional shuttered windows. Yet it is also fitted out with modern furniture, Satellite TV, DVD/ CD, air conditioning, washing machine, dishwasher etc.

This bright apartment has a hall, kitchen, 2 bedrooms, lounge and bathroom. The lounge has south-facing bay windows overlooking the Muntaner/Consell de Cent square. It includes a sofa bed, air-conditioning, seating/dining(extendable table) for 6 people, TV/CD/DVD incl free use of our DVD collection and loads of TV stations.

One bedroom, facing front, has two single beds and wardrobe. The second bedroom, facing internal courtyard, has a double bed and wardrobe. The kitchen comprises fridge-freezer, oven, hob, microwave, washing machine and dishwasher. The bathroom has jacuzzi bath, shower, wc, whb and bidet.

The Eixample area is the main shopping district in Barcelona centreing around the boulevards of Passig de Gracia and Rambla be Catalunya which lead onto Placa de Catalunya. This area features all the best restaurants, cafes, museums, galleries and shops.

Because it is located at the lower end of c/ Muntaner it is almost the perfect location for visiting Barcelona. It is right in the middle of the upmarket shopping and restaurant area yet still very close to the heart of La Ramblas and Gothic Quarter with its narrow streets, great atmosphere and exuberant nightlife.

It has parking nearby and the local metro station at Passeig de Gracia is a central hub station for the entire city.

There are a number of excellent city beaches available and, of course, the Costa Brava beaches such as Sitges (30 mins) are located all along the coast.

Cost for apartment: £110/day (Apr-Oct) and £79/day (Nov-Mar) or euro equivalent.

There is also a once off cleaning charge of £60. 7 days are charge at the cost of 5.

The cost includes electrical and gas usage.

A 25% deposit is required when booking. Balance is due 5 weeks before travelling.

We accept payment by cheque, bank transfer, Paypal or credit card(Visa/Mastercard). There is a 3% surcharge for credit cards or Paypal. Please allow 4 days for cheque clearance.

"huge disapointment"

Yes, this is quite central but it was filthy, and not quite as written up. The bathroom was very mouldy and the bathmat was black on the bottom. obviously we didn't use it! There were also cotton… More

It was unfortunate that the apartment was not cleaned before this client arrived. The usual cleaner was sick and the manager did a quick clean before the client arrived. The apartment is normally very clean. I always answer queries from clients so I think her comments about me ignoring her are very unfair. We have now addressed the other issues and replaced bathmat etc.

"Great place"

We truly enjoyed our stay in this apartment in Barcelona. It was perfect for us. We adored it, the beautiful old building, the leafy street, the proximity to the hub of shopping and the not to strenuous a walk to the Ramblas. We also loved the restaurants and tapas bars close-by.

Great location, close to metro, shops, restaurants and grocery store. Apartment has beautiful architectural details. Large bathroom. Living/dining room has nice space to spread out a bit and relax after a day of sightseeing.

"At home!"

We spent a great week in this apartment and we were absolutely delighted by its convenience and location: close to public transportation and downtown is accessible by foot as well.
The area is also very nice and so is the owner of this place.

"The perfect family holiday location"

I stayed in this lovely,modern,well-equipped apartment in mid July with my wife and three children.It's central location was perfect to explore all the delights of the city by foot or using the fantastic bus system on the doorstep.A bus took you straight to and from the beach in 20 minutes.The local area has plenty of impressive,child friendly restaurants.The supermarkets are excellent which allow you to get the best possible use of the great kitchen facilities in the apartment.The owner has made sure that there are plenty of tourist brochures and Dvds ,tv to use,My wifes favourite thing was the instant hot water available and the discreet air-conditioning.I just loved the feeling of being a part of the local community{very friendly people!] It could get noisy a night at times but closing the windows shut out most of that,but it added to the sense of a vibrant city community.The owner Shane was extremely helpful to all requests.We had a fantastic time and look forward to going back again!!
