About the home

Beautiful, central, air-conditioned apartment a stone's throw from the beach and just minutes to the city centre on foot.

It's an idyllic location in a city which has mild weather all year round. Sleeps a maximum two plus child. Couples love the romantic location, children love being near the each, aquarium, zoo and city park. Seafood lovers are in heaven as you are surrounded by great seafood restaurants.

The apartment is small but nicely done, the bathroom has a massage shower, perfect after lots of walking or to get the sand off your back!

Conditions

There is a 20 euro fee for being met at the apartment. this rises to 30 euros after 10pm and 50 euros after midnight.
50% of the rental is paid with the booking by credit card or bank transfer. The remaining 50% in cash on arrival.

The Costa Brava/Catalonia region

Barcelona dates back to Roman times and is still growing today. It's considered by many to be the top European holiday destination and in terms of city breaks it's the number one for visitors from the UK, France, Germany and many other countries.

The medieval centre is the largest medieval quarter in the world, for art nouveau architecture it rivals Paris with Gaudí heading the list. Famous painters like Picasso, Miró and Dalí all spent time here and have museums dedicated to them.

The cuisine is excellent, the night-life second to none and the city boasts mountain views and 7km of beaches. Many consider it a city paradise!

The Barcelona / Central Barcelona area

This apartment is located in the old city district of Barceloneta, the newest part of the old city, dating to about 1850, built on the peninsular which stretches out to the sea with the harbour front on one side and the beach on the other.

The area is renowned for its seafood restaurants and very ordinary neighbours who chat to each other from balcony to balcony as they bring the washing in or put it out. We say the sea view from the balcony is obscure because it depends how many neighbours have hung their washing out how much you get to see the beach!

At night the area is quiet but you have the bars and night-life of either El Born or the disco lights of Vila Olimpica (the two neighbouring districts) just 10 minutes walk away if you want to party. The Ramblas is a 15 minutes walk around the harbour.

Low Season is January 1st to Easter and November to Christmas.

Mid Season from after Easter to end of June and from September 1st to October 31st

High Season is July and August, the Mobile World Congress in February, Formula 1 Grand Prix, other major sporting and conference events, certain bank holidays.

Payment is: 50% with the booking by credit card or bank transfer, the rest on arrival in cash.

Please note that we do not accept all male or all female adult groups. Nor do we accept bookings from under 30s. No pets of any kind are allowed.

Prices include cleaning, laundry, provision of sheets and towels, tax (18% VAT where applicable) electricity, gas and water. There is an obligatory extra 20 euro charge for being met at the apartment after 10pm, this rises to 30 euros after 11pm and after midnight to 50 euros.

Please also note that the Catalan government may apply a tourist tax of one euro per person per night this year. We do not yet know how this will work but it is included in the above rates.
