About the home

Beautiful, central, spacious apartment with terrace - just perfect for a family trip to Barcelona. Quiet location in nice suburb just a 10 minute walk to Paseo de Gracia or El Born, two of the most popular tourist areas.

All modcons incl aircon, satellite tv, etc. Three bedrooms - a double with king size bed, twin and bunk bedroom with full size beds. 2 bathrooms.

The terrace has sun in the morning for a short while and then in the afternoon for a good while , just perfect for breakfast and then sipping some rioja after a hard day's sight-seeing.

The apartment has aircon and central heating, a good size fully equipped kitchen (dishwasher and washing machine). There is a supermarket and bakery just below the apartment.

Please note that bookings of six people must be a family with at least two children under 16.

The satliite tv is actually cable with mainly Spanish channels but three news channels in English (BBC, CNN, CNBC) one in French (TV5) one in Italian.

We only accept reservations of a maximum four adults and two children, so no group bookings of five or six adults.

Please note that there is a 20 euro fee for being met at the apartment. This rises to 30 euros after 10pm and 50 euros after midnight.
50% of the rental is paid with the booking and the remaining 50% in cash on arrival.

The Costa Brava/Catalonia region

Barcelona dates back to Roman times and is still growing today. It's considered by many to be the top European holiday destination and in terms of city breaks it's the number one for visitors from the UK, France, Germany and many other countries.

The medieval centre is the largest medieval quarter in the world, for art nouveau architecture it rivals Paris with Gaudí heading the list. Famous painters like Picasso, Miró and Dalí all spent time here and have museums dedicated to them.

The cuisine is excellent, the night-life second to none and the city boasts mountain views and 7km of beaches. Many consider it a city paradise!

The Barcelona / Central Barcelona area

Located in the modernist Eixample district of Barcelona, just 10 minutes walk, and exactly between the three main attractions of the city: the Sagrada Familia cathedral, El Born area in the old city and Paseo de Gracia for luxury shopping and Gaudi's other two main buildings in the city.

This is a real neighbourhood and we can recommend you where to shop and eat Spanish style. Guests love the apartment and especially the location, the Eixample is one generally considered Barcelona's nicest neighbourhood.

Low Season is January 1st to Easter and November to Christmas.

Mid Season from after Easter to end of June and from September 1st to October 31st

High Season is July and August, the Mobile World Congress in February, Formula 1 Grand Prix, other major sporting and conference events, certain bank holidays.

On enquiry with dates and number of people we will reply with an exact quote and explanation of the rate applied.

Payment is: 50% with the booking by credit card or bank transfer, the rest on arrival in cash.

Please note that we do not accept all male or all female groups. Nor do we accept bookings from under 30s. GRoups of more than four people must be family groups including a maximum of four adults. No pets of any kind are allowed.

Prices include cleaning, laundry, provision of sheets and towels, tax (18% VAT where applicable) electricity, gas and water. There is an obligatory extra 20 euro charge for being met at the apartment after 10pm, this rises to 30 euros after 11pm and after midnight to 50 euros.

Please also note that the Catalan government may apply a tourist tax of one euro per person per night this year. We do not yet know how this will work but it is included in the above rates.
