Description: This area, which dates from the early 20th century, is an intriguing mix of its two very different neighbours. It blends something of the upmarket LEixample Esquerra with the grittier nature of the Raval. Sant Antoni has a good location but without the relentless flocks of tourist that are inevitable in more popular parts of the city. One of Barcelonas best markets, Mercat de Sant Antoni, is located here, and along with the cafes on Avinguda de Mistral it provides a social hub for the area. Access to the rest of the city from Sant Antoni couldn´t be easier with three metro lines and the centre of Barcelona (Plaça de Catalunya) only a 15-minute walk away.
