Walking distance to Plaza España, Plaza Cataluña, Las Ramblas, Montjuic home of the Olympic Stadium, and the port. Great neighbourhood with several bars and restaurants including bakeries, fresh fruit stands, and open market.

The Costa Brava/Catalonia region

Barcelona is one of the hottest cities to visit not just in Europe but all over the world. Catalan is the official language but Spanish and English are widely spoken due to the cosmopolitan nature of the city. Barcelona offers a variety of events from the beach to the mountains and has a temperate climate that allows you to be outdoors.Not to mention the abundance of art and culture. You are a train ride away from the famous Dalí museum and the breath taking 11th century monastery, Montserrat.

Barcelona / Central Barcelona area

Barcelona is loaded with points of interests and has a great public transit system to get you there at a reasonable cost as well. Full of museums including Picasso and Miró as well as MACBA and Catalan History Museum. It is also great for kids with a zoo, aquarium, amusement park at the top of Tibidabo and tons of outdoor parks and gardens including a castle at the top of Montjuic. There you can also see the famous Magic Fountain show and depending what month you are sure to catch a local "fiesta major" or neighbourhood celebration. Don´t forget the numerous bars, discos and amazing restaurants and cafés!!!

How to get there

The airport is less than 10 km from the apartment. Very easy to travel to and from the airport by bus, train, and taxi. There are several budget airlines that fly to Barcelona.

The best thing about this apartment is its size. So many apartments in the centre are small and cramped. Not only is big but it is totally new! You have two terraces to enjoy the fresh air and relax by reading a book or having a morning cup of coffee. The apartment is stylishly decorated with all new furniture. Fresh linens and towels are provided for each guest. For families or longer stays there is a new washing machine and two sunny terraces to dry your clothes. The kitchen is modern and spacious and fully equipped for any kind of cooking desires.

This spacious apartment is in a great location for exploring and enjoying the city of Barcelona. It is ideal for getting up and going to the open air market of Sant Antoni right down the street, buying fresh fruit and baked goods and at the same time getting a glimpse of the the locals doing their daily shopping. You could come back to the apartment and have your breakfast on the terrace and then set out for the day. When you come home you can relax again on the terrace with a glass of wine or local cava and get revived for a lovely dinner at one of the local restaurants or even a night out on the town. For families with children there is a playground right out the front door. You can even see it from the front terrace.
