“Perfect location overlooking Sagrada Familia, great apartment - modern and clean.” We travelled to Barcelona with our 2 teenage sons and found this to be a fabulous apartment. The location was ideal for us as the Sagrada Familia was one of the places we were definitely going to visit, and it was on our doorstep. It could be viewed from the rooftop terrace (which was smaller than expected from the photographs, but I am sure would be stunning on a summer day). Our actual apartment did not have views of the Sagrada Familia (which we knew before we booked) but it had a small balcony. The view from our balcony overlooked balconies of other apartments which appeared to be occupied by permanent residents and not the best view in the world, but still great to sit out on and have a coffee and read your book for half an hour, however it was very small - there was only room for 2 chairs I would say. There is a security entrance and a lift to the apartment. The apartment was also well located because, with any trip we were on, it was easy to get back to - asking buses if they go to Sagrada Familia, or with taxi drivers taking you there. It is about 2 minutes walk from the entrance to Sagrada Familia, there is a supermarket (Carrefour) about 1 minute walk away, and best of all, the apartment is directly above a fabulous Boulangerie which was great for pastries and amazing pain au chocolate for breakfasts. There are also several restaurants and bars in the area. You could walk to Las Ramblas in about 45 minutes. The apartment was scrupulously clean and was very well equiped with twice the number of dishes and utensils we needed. A few dishwasher tablets and fairy liquid were also supplied in the kitchen which was great. The bathroom set up was the only area that we were a bit disappointed in. The apartment had a small room with a shower and a wash hand basin (but no wc), and another small room with just a wc and wash hand basin. (Hand soap was not supplied in either.) We had expected both rooms to have a wc. As it turned out, this wasn't a problem, but if you were a bigger party (as the apartment can sleep 6) then I think it could be. I would say this apartment would be a bit squashed if you were a party of six. The sofa bed in the living room can be partitioned off from the kitchen with a curtain but it is open plan, so noise would be a problem if anyone was in there. The furnishings were very stylish and and minimalist with crisp sheets and duvets and comfy beds. The towels were good enough. It was easy to book, but enjoybcn credit card facilities were not working at the time we had to pay the balance of the payment, so this cost us an extra £25 having to do a bank transfer - if they get this fixed then booking would be perfect. Taxi from the airport cost 37 euros (although we think we were overcharged a bit) and the directions to get the keys for the apartment were simple. We were very happy with our stay in this apartment and would have no hesitation in recommending it.
