This modern, comfortable and stylish apartment is located in the heart of the thriving seaside resort of Sitges. With a 2 minute walk to the beach and with restaurants, bars and shops on your doorstep, you could not be better situated to enjoy all that Sitges has to offer.

The location of the apartment is ideal - it is central yet relaxing, peaceful and undisturbed by the lively town centre.

There are 2 bedrooms, one with a double bed, and the other with 2 singles. Both rooms have patio doors opening on to a small terrace ideal for breakfast

The living / dining room is spacious and is furnished with a large flat screen TV, a DVD player, a CD player, a dining table and chairs and a large comfortable sofa which converts into a double bed, enabling 6 people to share the apartment.

The modern kitchen is fully equipped with an oven and hob, microwave, toaster, kettle, coffee machine, large fridge freezer, washing machine. Also provided are all the pots, pans, utensils, glassware, crockery and cutlery you would need, should you choose to eat in.

The Costa Brava/Catalonia region

Sitges sits towards the northern end of the Costa Dorada, which stretches from Barcelona to Tortosa, some 215 kilometers to the South. As the name suggests, the Costa Dorada, or "Golden Coast" is famous for its long sandy beaches. Its best known resorts are Salou, Sitges and Cambrils, and it also boasts the beautiful, historic Roman city of Tarragona and of course the Regional capital city of Barcelona.
The Mediterrean waters in this area are calm, clear and blue, and generally warm in summer. For the more active there are watersports all along the Costa Dorada, including in Sitges, Barcelona and the surrounding towns. For families, a day out to Universal Studios "Port Aventura" theme park and "Costa Caribe" water park (located just outside Salou) are a must.

Barcelona / Sitges area

Sitges is a historic town situated 36 kilometers to the South of Barcelona, and is widely recognised as the most attractive resort on the Costa Dorada. With Barcelona only half an hour away, Sitges has become a stylish and popular getaway from the city. This influence can be seen from the wide variety of boutiques, shops, restaurants and bars nestled in the towns pretty whitewashed streets.

What makes this the perfect holiday location are the long sandy beaches sloping gently into the clear, calm waters of the Mediterranean. Popular with families, locals and a young trendy crowd, the beaches attract sunseekers from all over Europe. These golden beaches run from the stunning baroque church of San Bartolomeo, overlooking the town, to the far end of the bay, 2 kilometers away. Beyond this is a luxury golf course, followed by a series of smaller, more secluded coves, whose rocky beaches include the Playa de los Muertos, reputedly the first gay beach in Spain.

Sitges enjoys its own micro climate, meaning that even if it is raining in neighbouring Barcelona, the sun is still shining in Sitges.

There is also a busy cultural agenda, including the Carnaval celebrations in February, the stunning fireworks and street parades of August's Summer Festival, and the International Film Festival in October, bringing the rich and famous of the cinema world to Sitges.

From Barcelona airport it is easy and cheap to get to Sitges by train (approximately 35 minutes) or by bus (45 minutes - 1 hour) If you prefer to take a taxi, it should take around 30 minutes and cost approximately 50€ - 60€

The apartment is a 2 minute walk from the bus stop and a 5 minute walk from the train station.
