An amazing loft-style apartment of 200m2.

The huge interior includes two living spaces; one of 30m2 and one of 60m2 which can be converted to sleep up to three people.

Adjoining the main living space is a newly refurbished open kitchen with all the equipment you might need to cook for the masses. The dining table seats 10.

There are four bedrooms; two triples, one single and a secluded master bedroom accessed by a private stairwell. With en suite bathroom and a huge wardrobe. The fourth bedroom is accessed by a folding step-ladder and sleeps 4 in single beds.

In addition to the en suite there is a "complete" bathroom with shower + bath, and another separate toilet located off the main living room.

Entrance to the apartment is through a spacious anti-room - currently a reception, it can accommodate parking for small cars, motorbikes or bicycles. This entrance can be closed off from the main living area, isolating the rest of the apartment from the noise of the street.

We call the main living space "the loft" which is located on the ground floor, has been totally refurbished with the best materials. A sophisticated combination of 19th century characteristics and tasteful modern features: The original stone walls have been restored and the original wooden beams that span the loft's ceilings have been revealed and restored. New parquet floors, modern colours and clever lighting complete the style.

- A fantastic home cinema set, including large flat screen TV, DVD player and cinema sound system

- Washing machine and indoor space to hang-dry clothes

- Air conditioned in summer and heated in winter - comfortable all year round

Loft Aurora is ideal for groups of 10 people, and holds a maximum of 12. Nevertheless, it is divided into two sections so feels very comfortable for smaller groups of 4-6.

LOCATION

Located in the heart of Barcelona in the centre of the old city, in the Raval neighbourhood.

Next to the main avenue in Raval - Rambla de Raval with its restaurants coffee places and bars.

We love El Raval - it's our choice for getting out on the town, but it isn't to everybody's taste. It is real, it's not that clean or beautiful, but it does have a lot of personality and character, and lots of locals!

"The area is vibrant, historic, authentic and full of personality. It is a lively, multi-cultural neighbourhood with a huge variety of tempting cafes, restaurants and bars. The area has also become fashionable being host to a wide variety of art studios, galleries and trendy bookshops, not to mention the imposing MACBA (museum of modern art) and CCCB which is the neighbouring exhibition centre.

Staying in El Raval also means that you are situated between two of Barcelona's famous food markets, La Boqueria on Las Ramblas and Mercat Sant Antoni. Both places are worth a visit to stock up on fresh fruit to get you through the day or to sample Spain's delicious chorizo or Jamon Serrano.

Clothes shopping is also a pleasure in El Raval thanks to all the little one-off boutiques that line some of the streets giving you a truly unique shopping experience. Unlike the Eixample with its large branded name designer labels, Raval is where you find the small privatly owned shops selling clothes you can't find anywhere else.

El Raval is alive all through the day and night so you will never be without an eaterie to entice you in the early hours of the morning!

El Raval offers a central location within walking distance of many of the other popular areas such as the Gothic Quarter and l'Eixample. The nearest metro stops are 5 minutes away on Las Ramblas, Barcelona's most famous street which runs up one side of El Raval."
