Home description
Beautiful new apartment in a very central location. It's on the second floor of a fully refurnished and elegant building with elevator. The apartment has two sunny balconies with an excellent view over the famous Ramblas. There are 2 double bedrooms (1 with a double bed and another with 2 single beds), a huge dining room with 3 sofas (of which one is a double sofa bed), a beautiful marble bathroom (10 m2) with double bathtub, an open kitchen fully equipped with dishwasher and oven, a laundry room with washing machine, tumble dryer and iron. The apartment is air conditioned, there's a stereo system and bed linen and towels.
The location is ideal, right on the Ramblas near the old harbor and just beside The Santa Monica Art Museum and the famous Cristopher Columbus Monument. The location is very convenient if you would like to explore all the interesting sights by foot. The Ramblas is a very lively area day and night. It is the Medieval centre of the city and a true labyrinth. Walk around the little streets around the Cathedral, discover the many old book and antique stores. This is the oldest part of the city so it has many charming, narrow streets and most buildings are more than 100 years old. There are tourist shops and restaurants all around with menus in English, German, French, Italian, Spanish and Catalan. It is known as one of the poor districts in Barcelona but one of the most charming. Every street has a hidden bar or café to shelter you from the heat and sun. One week wouldn't even be enough to explore all the charms and secrets of this enchanting area, and we haven't even mentioned the rest of beautiful Barcelona yet.

The Costa Brava/Catalonia region
Catalonia covers an area of 32 000 km2 and has 6 million inhabitants. History, language and a distinct cultural, political and legal tradition have shaped the personality of the country and the people. Catalonia is a land of rich and varied scenery, with 580 km of Mediterranean coastline, which offer perfect conditions for nautical sports, and mountain areas, as the Catalan Pyrenees ideal for skiing, hiking, and adventure sports. A rich architectural heritage has preserved in many fine cities steeped in character, with magnificent historic buildings, among them Girona and Tarragona. Barcelona, Catalonia’s capital, offering a lively cultural life and good shopping, is one of the most important ports on the Mediterranean.
Catalonia’s own language is Catalan, a Romanesque language that has co-official status alongside Castilian (Spanish). Catalonia’s artistic heritage is a permanent reminder of the creativity of the people. Examples are Empúries, the Roman monuments in Tarragona, the civil and religious works of Gothic art, the great painters of the 19th century, such as Marià Fortuny, and the world-famous Catalan artists of the 20th century as Miró and Dalí.
All these factors, together with a plentiful accommodation and excellent services and facilities, make Catalonia one of Europe’s leading tourist regions. Welcome to Catalonia!
