Home description

The apartment is located in the first floor of the building, which has the typical and exquisite architecture of Barcelona city and a modern equipment such as a new elevator. The apartment has 36 square meters and capacity for 2 people (or 2 people with a child). The apartment has 1 comfortable room with a double bed. Includes large closets, fully equipped recently remodelled kitchen and bathroom.

It is centrally located in downtown Barcelona, right next to the well known Plaza España, La Fira of Barcelona (Fair Grounds), the Magic Fountains of Montjuïc. It is a short walking distance away from the famous Las Ramblas and the sea front. Within the Sants-Montjuïc Quarter of Barcelona, it is a safe area with several parks and fully equipped with shops, 24/7 supermarkets, pharmacy, internet cafes, restaurants, sports facilities, private parking, and public transportation - Plaza España is a hub for metro and bus transit (Plaza Catalunya, the Central Square of Barcelona, is five minutes away by tube), in addition to the taxi station across the street.

One of the main advantages is its STRATEGIC LOCATION. The apartment is easily reached by road and are close to the airport, the port and the main railway station. The existence of a public transport system (underground, buses and trams) guarantees access to any part of Barcelona and its metropolitan area. You have a taxi station across the street. Additionally, Plaza España is a hub for public transportation, where you will find 2subway lines and more than 20 bus lines including the touristic bus and the AeroBus (direct shuttle to the airport). “Estació de Sants” (Barcelona Central Train Station) is also close to Plaza España (10 minutes walking distance), and it connects the city with the different peninsular and European capitals as well as the regional and metropolitan areas.

How to get to the flat from the Airport?
- By TAXI: Barcelona has 11.000 taxis which are easily identifiable by their yellow and black colour. It takes between 15/20 minutes to reach the apartment. The ride should cost 15-20 €. The taxi stop is in front of the building.
- By AEROBUS: This special service is clearly identifiable as you will see its name written on the outside of the vehicle. You will find sign posts indicating the platform outside the Airport terminal and bringing you to the city, stopping at different points. A one-way ticket costs around 4 €. You can buy the ticket in the same bus and pay it with a credit card.

- AIRPORT TRAIN: Situated on the west part of the Airport terminal, offers you a train service every 30 minutes to and from Barcelona “Sants” train station where you can take the subway (2 stops to Plaça Espanya) or a taxi.

- By CAR: From the airport take main road C-31 (Autovía Castelldefels) until you reach Plaza España. Turn left (Avenida Rius i Taulet) until you get to Lleida Street. The flat is right in front of the Fira Palace Hotel, at the end of Avenida Rius i Taulet.

SOME SPECIAL RATES: Christmas: 20/des to 02/jan - 120€/night - minimum stay: 5 nights. Easter: 120€/night - minimum stay: 4 nights. Sonar Festival: 120€/night - minimum stay: 3 nights. Bread & Butter: 120€/night - minimum stay: 3 nights. World Congress of Cardiology: 120€/night - minimum stay: 5 nigths. Meeting Point (Real Estate): 120€/night - minimum stay: 5 nigths. 3 GSM congress: 260€/night - minimum stay: 4 nights, and 2 days before and days after the congress - 150€ per night.

LATE ARRIVALS: Arrivals between 21:00h and 23:00h have an extra charge of 25.00€, Arrivals later than 23:00h have an extra charge of 40.00€.

CANCELLATION FEES: Up to 30 days prior to arrival we refund 90% of the reservation fee (10% for bank transfer expenses). From 29 to 10 days prior to arrival we do not refund the reservation fee. Less than 10 days prior to arrival we charge 50% of the total amount of rent. Less than 48h or without cancellation will be charged with the total amount of rent.

What can I say? We had a good experience with Joan and Fiorela (the owners). This is a nice apartment, well placed and with kind owners. We stayed there for 5 nights and had an excellent time. We would definitely stay here again if our travels brought us to Barcelona. So, in summary, a great apartment, great location, very well priced and with nice people.

Wonderful stay at this apartment! (30/03/2008)

Hello, My wife and I have just reurned home after a wonderful stay at this apartment. It was very much better than I expected with great location, handy to everything. First class in every way from the ease of booking to follow up confirmation, very friendly greetings on arrival from Karen.They made sure we settled in well and had every thing we needed. I thought the free bottled water in the fridge or a tourist guide showed just how much thought they put into assuring we had everthing to make our stay a very pleasent one. We have stayed at many hotels and apartments in the past but this one is by far the best deal and value in Barcelona.

Stayed at the apartment during the last 2 weeks of June. The apartment has a great location right at the heart of Barcelona, is perfectly situated. It was very good furnished and comfortable. Joan was excellent with us, and I wouldn't think twice about returning there. Great value for your money and excellent location.

Ci siamo trovati propio bene, molto accogliente, comodo. Siamo stati una settimana a barcelona,l'apartamento e' stupendo si trova a pochi minuti di metro, autobus o a piedi da piazza cataluna y las ramblas. Buona situazione piazza españa.
