Home description

Luxury feel with wifi and large screen plasma tv. Extremely central, beautifully decorated apartment with hip furnishings. Two balconies look over one of Barcelona's oldest churches and only park within the old city boundaries. There are two bedrooms, one double and one twin. Rooms are spacious. Fully equipped kitchen. There is a separate wash room with washing machine. The bathroom has a bath with a shower.

The Costa Brava/Catalonia region

Barcelona dates back to Roman times and is still growing today. It's considered by many to be the top European holiday destination and in terms of city breaks it's the number one for visitors from the UK, France, Germany and many other countries. The medieval centre is the largest medieval quarter in the world, for art nouveau architecture it rivals Paris with Gaudí heading the list. Famous painters like Picasso, Miró and Dalí all spent time here and have museums dedicated to them. The cuisine is excellent, the night-life second to none and the city boasts mountain views and 7km of beaches. Many consider it a city paradise.

Barcelona / Central Barcelona area

This apartment is located in the old city district, dating to about 1750, although some parts like the old medieval hospital and Saint Paul's church are much older. Built on the eastern side of the Ramblas this is Barcelona's hippest area and where young Barcelonan's go out at the weekend.

At least ten theatres, the modern art gallery and cultural centre, the national film library and many private galleries make up the cultural heart of the barrio. But this is accompanied by a vibrant night-life of bars and restaurants.

The law, philosophy and history faculties of Barcelona University are also based in the barrio as is the Pompeu Fabra Media University so there are many "alternative" shops and businesses catering to a young crowd. The best thing for tourists (apart from cheap eateries and drinkeries everywhere) is the amazingly central location.

You can walk to virtually anywhere-else in the old city - the sea, Plaza Cataluña, the Ramblas, El Born, the Gotico, the park of Montjuic, the Eixample in 5-15 minutes. For Gaudi fans the Palau Guëll is a few streets away.

The price for two people is 10 euros per night less except in the winter season which is the same price.

Payment is: 40% with the booking by credit card or bank transfer, the rest on arrival in cash.

Some dates not shown on this calendar can be high season or extra high season - for example the World Mobile Congress in February, Formula 1 Grand Prix, other major sporting and conference events, certain bank holidays. Not all of these events have their dates announced at time of organising the rates calendar.

Prices include cleaning, laundry, provision of sheets and towels, tax (16% VAT which will be 18% from July 1st 2010) electricity, gas and water as applicable.

Please note that we do not accept all male or all female groups. Nor do we accept bookings from under 25s.

The booking must be made by the person paying for the booking - we do not accept bookings made on a friend's or parent's credit card for obvious reasons. Please do not ask for an exception.

No pets!

Due to the world economic crisis it is habitual for people to ask for "our best price". No problem! Maybe your dates will be super low season and maybe we can offer you a deal. However please note that our prices have been lowered for 2009 and are being maintained for 2010 so it's probable that we wont offer you a better price than quoted here, this is a good deal!

Finally we do have 12 apartments and if this one is not available we may offer you another one which seems to suit your needs, we hope you don't mind. Rest assured that as we have so many apartments we have a team of people to make sure that the apartments are well cleaned and maintained. We are very proud to have not had any complaints about cleanliness in seven years of letting. Maintenance problems can happen but are normally sorted the same day.
