About the home

105 square meters apartment that suites for up to 5 people. Located on the top floor of the Castle, it offers an open space with living and dining area as well as a modern kitchen, complete with 4 rings/electric/glass stove, fridge with freezer, dishwasher, microwave; TV/DVD upon request. In addition, Mansarda has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with shower, sink, toilet, bidet as well as a cute PRIVATE terrace (11 square meters), with a beautiful 360 degrees view of our countryside.

The terrace is equipped with chairs and table to enjoy dinners and breakfasts. The Master bedroom is large and have net on its window. Bedroom N2 has 2 single beds, and has lower ceiling, but it is perfect for kids (windows have nets); Bedroom N3 has 1 single bed, it is smaller and same ceiling as for room 2. The apartment is equipped with all necessary fittings for leaving and cooking and delivered in a clean and tidy condition. Bed and bath linen are supplied (no pool towels). All consumables are self-catering. Use of centralized laundry and ironing facilities in dedicated area.

The property is situated inside a spectacular park which, with its romantic paths and breathtaking perspectives, provides the opportunity for pleasant walks immersed in nature.
The 162 square meters swimming pool has areas reserved for each apartment and fully equipped with deck chairs, sun beds and beach umbrellas(*).
The tennis/five-a-side football ground is in synthetic grass; close by there is also a ping-pong table and a
small skating rink for children. Next by the tennis court yard, there is a playground for kids, with a sling and
a slide, as well as a new volleyball net.
Trekking trails in the woods of the park are reserved exclusively for the use of guests while not far from the
property there are excellent restaurants where you can enjoy dishes that have made Tuscan cooking famous
throughout the world.
Just a few minutes away by car are supermarkets, shops and sports activities (golf, horse riding, bike hire
etc...) which our staff will be pleased to help you choose from. We’re looking forward to welcoming you.

All the apartments are fully equipped for your sleeping and cooking requirements. On arrival the Clients will
find their units in a clean and tidy condition; they are supposed to leave them in the same way on departure.
Sheets and towels are supplied with the weekly change of linens every Saturday (not including towels for the
swimming pool), any other requests will be at the expense of the guests.

The apartments are usually rented on a weekly basis, from Saturday to Saturday. Arrivals are from 5.00 p.m. to
8.00 p.m. and departures by 10.00 a.m. In low and mid-season – upon request and depending on availability –
bookings may also be accepted for periods other than a week.

such as hotels, residences, etc. but private houses. Being such, they do not have standards or categories that

The Tuscany / Firenze Province region

Tuscany, a region famous for its sun, its warm weather, its beautiful hills covered with nature. In addition, the Tuscan region is full of marvellous historical town, like Florence, Siena, Pisa, San Gimignano, where to admire museums, work of arts or just walk along the pedestrian streets which still preserve a charming historical look.

The Barberino Val d'Elsa area

Castello di Pastine is situated in an excellent position a little over 30 km from Florence and Siena, both of which can be reached within half an hour. About 11 km away is the fascinating town of Certaldo, a medieval fortress and the native city of Boccaccio— one of the fathers of Italian literature and the author of the Decameron. San Gimignano, the well-preserved medieval city of towers is just 15 km away, while Volterra, a historic Etruscan city, can be reached driving along 43 km of the most beautiful roads in Tuscany, part of the Volterrana: the legendary road for people who love to drive through the countryside, by car or by bike! Then, if you want to taste or buy some excellent wine, you don’t have to go very far to visit the wine cellars where the most famous red wine in the world is made, Chianti Classico.

Throughout the year the Tuscan towns and cities are animated by fairs, festivals, theme-celebrations and historic re-enactments from the middle ages with street markets, suppers, tastings and fireworks.

Guestbook for Castello di Pastine - MS

The setting is quite surreal with amazing views over the Tuscan countryside. There is everything here to make your stay enjoyable. We have two small children who had plenty to do whilst we were able to relax, walk in the woods or play tennis. They provided us with a very informative booklet of things to do in the area and reviews of all the local restaurants. Location wise it is very close to get to Siena, Florence and San Gimignano. It is extremely quiet and private and we would definitely return here if we are in Tuscany again. Thank you for a lovely time. G. family, UK
