Home description
Whilst Villa Erbaia maintains its traditional features and character, including wooden beamed ceilings, tiled floors and fireplaces, it has been renovated to offer all the modern comforts to make your stay as relaxing as possible. The Villa was built in the 16th century in an ideal location and now surrounded by 3 hectares of private land, including a beautiful Italian garden and picnic area, a swimming pool with sun terrace, and a religious chapel.
The villa is on 3 floors offering 9 beautifully decorated and spacious bedrooms, each with a modern en-suite bathroom; 2 lounge areas with satellite TV, DVD player, air conditioning; dining room and fully equipped kitchen, including laundry facilities; and a grand reception room that opens out into the garden.
The villa accommodates 18-22 people using additional sofa beds and can be rented as a whole for group holidays and weddings or partially for smaller groups and events. The perfect place for a relaxing holiday……
Villa Erbaia thanks to its large lounge areas, the garden fully immersed in the quiet Tuscan countryside, is an ideal location to celebrate any kind of ceremonies. For the above reason, our Management cooperate with the exclusive Catering society “La Fenice”, specialized in banqueting, ceremonies and events.
La Fenice organizes on request and only for the guests of the Villa: Gala Dinner, buffet and cocktail with classic Tuscan menu or personalized menu, emphasizing the dishes with the richness and the variety of our season products.
Our catering service proposes during some specific period of the year cooking classes, typical Tuscan products tasting as cuts and cheeses, oil, wine, truffle and mushrooms.

The Tuscany region
The charming region of Tuscany immediately wins the heart of every visitor with its breathtaking landscape, relaxed lifestyle and great cuisine. The towns and villages scattered across the region bear testimony to Tuscany's rich culture, and there are plenty of museums, galleries and palaces to visit.
Summer is naturally a busy time to visit Tuscany when the weather is at its warmest, but the region retains its allure in the spring and autumn also, and these seasons benefit from the fewer tourists. You can enjoy exploring towns at your own pace, visit olive groves and vineyards, and enjoy al fresco dining.
Barberino di Mugello area
A pearl set in a region rich of history, art and culture - this is how we can define the area of the Mugello happily immersed in the sweet design of the Tuscan hills. The area is situated among the Apennine watershed and presents such different surroundings and aspects that go from the sharp beauty of the higher areas to the hundred villages of the Sieve Valley. It is a varied territory still uncontaminated in a great part, rich in history, culture, art.
Here we can find traces of a history worth of a big European city. It is just enough remembering some noble Mediaeval families - the Guidi and the Ubaldini - who soon entered in competition with Florence which was expanding and wanted to build "new lands" (one of these was in fact Scarperia). Many world famous artists like Giotto, Beato Angelico, Andea del Castagno were born here and here they developed their talent.
The Medici family had its origin here and in fact it left numerous signs on the territory which demonstrate the bond that existed between the political and territorial expansion and the forms of artistic expressions.
In this sense, Scarperia sums up all this in its centre: there are direct structural witnesses of great charm and impact like the "Palazzo dei Vicari" and the great art-craft tradition of blades and knives which has made the new Medicaen land founded on "die octo" 1306 famous all over the world since the 15th century, also thanks to the Giogo road which then passed through the inhabited village. It is a tradition which continues thanks to the ability of the local cutlers and which shows itself up at the Exhibition Market for cutting tools (the first fortnight in June) and the competition for the Banner among the districts (August - September) also characterized by an extraordinary commemoration in costume on "Reanaissance Day" to which over five hundred personages in costume participate.
The relationship tradition-progress completes itself with the presence of sport plants of international value on the territory: together with famous International Mugello Circuit that is a Ferrari’s property and during the year plays home to tests, national and international cars and bikes racings, we find Bilancino Lake, future centre of National Sailing and Canoeing Events, the 18 holes at the Golf Club "Poggio dei Medici" which is the seat of the Ladies European Tour and a constitutive element for a possible "sport valley" seeing that within a few kilometres there are facilities of great charm which match so well with the vocation of the territory.
