If you are looking instead for a culture holiday you will visit the famous cities of art, Florence, Siena, Pisa, and Bologna too. If you love shopping closer you will find the new Designer Outlet Shopping Centre of Barberino, famous for its haute couture shops. During the hot summer evenings you will have the opportunity to taste local food and grilled bistecca outdoor; bathed on silence charm and under a starry sky.

Barberino di Mugello area
The Tuscan region of Mugello is as yet undiscovered by many but still offers the beautiful scenery and Tuscan charm. Mugello Valley is perfect if you want exploring Tuscany.A 30 minute drive through the hillside will take you to Florence, with Pisa being just 110 km away , Siena 95km,Bologna 60 km and you can be in Rome within one and a half hours by train from Florence.
The town of Scarperia, famous for its production of knives, ce and offers a calendar of events, including flower shows, antique fairs, gastranomic festival and open air concerts. The towns of Barberino del Mugello offer the wonderful cuisine that we have all come to expect of the beautiful Tuscan region.If you love shopping closer you will find the new Designer Outlet Shopping Centre of Barberino, famous for its haute couture shops. At the town of Borgo San Lorenzo, you have,supermarket,hospital,shopping centre. At Vicchio is found the house of Giotto.
Lake Bilancino, just a 10 minute drive away, offers watersports including sailing, skiing, wind surfing and fishing, and there is an excellent golf course 15 minutes away. Just some of the other activities motor racing at the Mugello Autodrome and wine tasting evenings.
How to get there
There is a choice of airports - Florence is 35km away, Bologna G.Marconi airport (not Fiorli) 65km and Pisa 110km www.ryanair.com offer cheap flights to Pisa. Meridiana.com flies into Florence.
