Villa | 5 bedrooms | sleeps 10
One of three entirely independent and totally secluded villas of the Son Buñola estate approached by a private coastal road, Sa Punta is a truly unique and distinctive property. Built to a design combining the contemporary with the traditional, including exposed wooden ceiling beams and terracotta flooring, this stone-walled villa has been decorated and furnished in exquisite taste, the utmost care and attention having been lavished on every little detail. Located in the north-west corner of the island, it enjoys breathtaking panoramic views over the sea and the imposing mountain ranges for which Mallorca is renowned. The splendid Mediterranean sunrises and sunsets can be admired from the seclusion of the spacious terraces and from the many different outdoor areas around the house and large heated swimming-pool. Although standing completely secluded and undisturbed, the villa is only a half-hour drive from the bustling capital, Palma de Mallorca, with its wealth of upmarket shops and its monumental architecture, and a similar distance from Valldemossa, the beautiful mountain village immortalized by Chopin in his raindrop prelude. While the villa has its own attractive and secluded gardens, guests are free to roam throughout the extensive grounds and fruit terraces of the parent estate, one of the finest on the island. The spacious interior, accommodating at least ten people in luxuriously-appointed double bedrooms, offers the highest standards of comfort both in summer and winter, Sa Punta is fully staffed, with your own chef, waitress and maid, ensuring you can totally relax during your stay.

The Mallorca/Majorca region
The largest of the Spanish Balearic Islands, the beautiful and diverse island of Mallorca has appealed to visitors from all walks of life for many years. From the ancient capital of Palma to the long stretches of white coastline and the tiny mountain villages dotted over the green countryside, Mallorca offers something for everyone. Only 75 kilometres long and 100 kilometres wide, the island is easily explored by car. With your own transport you can discover the magnificent Sierra de Tramuntana mountain range, the beautiful coves and beaches along the east coast, and the medieval villages spread throughout the wine growing region of Benissalem. The capital of Mallorca is Palma, a stylish and sophisticated city that is home to more than half of the islands inhabitants.
Visitors can enjoy all the best shops, excellent restaurants, and a thriving arts and cultural scene. With a Gothic cathedral, a maze of narrow streets in the Arab quarter and a beautiful royal palace, the island?s enchanting capital should not be missed. Outside the city are many beautiful rural villages that are becoming increasingly popular with travelers looking for the ?real? Mallorca. A trip to the mountain village of Deia is an absolute must. The place where English poet Robert Graves spent much of his working life is a stunning example of rural Mallorca with its elegant restaurants, narrow streets and small shingle beach, and is still a huge draw for visiting artists and musicians from all over the world. Further along the coast is Soller, a small port that lies in a bowl-shaped valley famous for its orange groves and terraces of ancient olive trees. The pretty town itself has houses dating back to the 14th century and a charming main square whilst walkers will love the surrounding hills and hiking trails. Whether you are looking for a lively holiday full of art and culture, or a relaxing break in the hills, Mallorca is the perfect place for your island getaway.
