Bantry is fortunate to having the stately home of Bantry House and Gardens overlooking its beautiful waters, the house and gardens are open to the public and well worth a visit, if your really lucky with your timing you could even take in a classical music concert and some delicious food in their tea rooms.
Whiddy Island is just off the shores of Bantry Bay, it can be reached by ferry which travels on the hour from the pier, Whiddy Island is steeped in history, you'll even get a pint there after your days walking and maybe the locals might even be singing!!
