An apartment within a hotel, Tamplier is without doubt the finest 4**** ski complex in Bansko and set within the complex is this spacious and privately owned apartment which is equipped to a high standard and includes a fitted kitchenette with twin halogen hob, electric oven and extractor and fridge-freezer.
The complex is situated just 200m from the ski lift and you can store your skis, boots or boards on site free of charge for easy collection in the mornings.
The on site restaurant is convenient for those who wish to have breakfast before hitting the slopes or an evening meal upon your return.
The lounge is furnished with a double sofa bed and matching armchair, central wood burning fireplace, 28" stereo tv with cable channels and DVD player. A solid dark wood table and four chairs furnish the dining area. A wooden door leads you out on to the balcony.
Linen, towels and weekly cleaning are also provided . Extra cleaning and room service are charged locally.
The large bedroom has a king size bed, ample wardrobe space, dressing table and chair and a door leading out onto the balcony.

The Pirin/Rhodope Mountains region
Nestled in the southwest corner of Bulgaria are the compact Pirin Mountains(2585 sq km), named after the Slavic god of thunder. Over the centuries, Greeks, Turks and Slavs have been attracted to these mountains because of the mineral waters and 186 pristine lakes, often partially frozen in winter. The highest point is Mt Virin(2915m).
The gateway to the Pirin National Park, which is only a few minutes walk from the Tamplier complex, is permanently open and free to enter and is Bulgaria's largest at 40,447 hectares. It was placed on Unesco's list of World Heritage Sites in 1983 to protect the varied and unique landscapes, 1100 species of flora, 102 types of birds and 42 species of mammals.
Bansko area
Bansko is one of the big names in Bulgarian tourism. It's a base for top notch skiing in winter and superb hiking in summer. The snow, which is often 2m deep in winter, sometimes lasts until mid May and the lifts and slopes are well maintained. Tamplier is only a 5 min walk to the main Gondola ski lift (no need for a shuttle bus!).
Marked hiking trails, 13 primary and 17 secondary, link 13 huts and shelters throughout the Pirin National Park and many shuttle buses are available throughout the summer months to take hikers, sightseers and day trippers up through the fragrant, pine covered mountainside to the beginning of these uncrowded trails.
The town of Bansko lies approx. 10 min walk to the north of Tamplier and is home to more than 150 cultural monuments, including many from the Bulgarian national revival period.
You'll be spoilt for choice finding somewhere to eat as Bansko has over 100 "mehanas" or taverns which provide traditional Bulgarian cuisine at exceptionally low prices. Expect to pay no more than 10 Euros for a two course meal with drinks! Or eat in Tamplier's 4* restaurant.
Most of the shops and cafes are located along the pedestrian mall,"ul Tsar Simeon" along with banks, post office and ATM's.
The International Jazz Festival takes place around the 7th-15th of August and is a big summer attraction in Bansko with artists coming from all over Bulgaria and abroad
PLEASE BE AWARE there is a lot of construction at present in the area although this decreases in the busy winter season.
