The town of Bansko is located at 925 metres above sea level, and its skiing area is 2000-2500 metres above sea level.
Bansko is the all new Bulgarian ski resort, recently discovered by the foreign skiers and tourists, but well known in Bulgaria. Bansko provides a superb combination of the virgin nature of the Pirin mountain with state of the art ski lifts and a well planned ski area, whilst still retaining the atmosphere of the ancient Bulgarian small town.

Bansko ski resort is situated in South-Western Bulgaria in the foot hills of the beautiful Pirin mountain. The Pirin mountain is a natural reserve included in the World Natural Heritage list. The distance between Sofia and Bansko is 170 km. Transfer time by car from Sofia International Airport to Bansko is 2 hours.
The Bansko area
Bansko's nightlife is excellent with several bars, nightclubs and restaurants. The traditional taverns 'Mehana' offer great local cuisine and folk music. Nightlife goes onto the early hours of the morning.
The town itself also attracts visitors to its numerous cultural monuments, its museums and exhibions. The Holy Trinity church with its 30 m high bell tower and clock, splendid murals and woodcarvings can be found in the centre of town.
In the summer Bansko is host to a traditional Summer Jazz Festival,the Bulgarian Folk Festival and many other cultural events. The town also provides a great base for white water rafting, horse riding, walking, biking and a soon to be opened golf course designed by Ian Woosnam.
Surrounded by The Pirin, The Rila and The Rhodopa mountains, Bansko is a beautiful mountain resort with long winters and short hot summers . The Ski season is from mid December until mid April:

Ideally Situated to Gondola and town Shops etc .We were very Happy with our stay .Stairs a bit hard alright after a day Skiing .But every thing else Was great .The upstairs was great also to give us some space from our teenagers |

We recently spent 5 days at the Pirin Mountain Residence and had an amazing holiday. The apartment itself is spacious, clean, very well presented and can easily cater for 6 adults without feeling over crowded. It has great views across town and over the mountains where all the action takes place. Location wise the apartment couldnt be in a better spot just a couple of minutes walk from the gondola station and a short walk from all of the best bars and restuarants. We were a mixed group of skiers and snowboarders and all found the quality of the slopes and the infrastructure (lift system etc) to be on a par with anything that we have experienced in the alps, this was of course helped by some of the best snow conditions that any of us have ever seen. I have been going on sking holidays accross Europe for 10 years plus and would strongly reccomend Bansko as a resort and this apartment in particular. |

Peak weeks Christmas and New Year full payment required.
Other weeks a 30% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm booking. Thereafter the booking balance of 70% is due 28 days before arrival.
A refundable security deposit of £100.00 is required with the 70% payment against breakages and damage which will be refunded within 10 days of return of the apartment keys to us providing our agent has found everything to be in order after checking the apartment inventory.
Cleaning and linen change at the end of your holiday are included in the price.
This apartment is also available on a per night basis please divide by 7 for the per night cost.
