Pirin Lodge 15 is a penthouse paradise in a quality luxury building, offering a very large balcony with a view to Bansko town and the 3 km high Pirin mountains raising just behind with the largest skiarea of South Europe - 65 km of downhill skiing of all difficulties starts only 500 m away, and you may leave the boots and skies with the recommended skirent at the lift or take your own skies to the cellar skilocker. Snow from mid December to mid April.
Bansko has a historic centre of 200 year old town and farmhouses acessed via paving stone roads. It is the town of ’100 restaurants’ and bars in walking distance: International luxury, genuine folklore with live Macedonian style music, just plain good local food or pizza places. Very good local vines. And prices are very affordable. Access to nearby swimming pools for a good price.
Summer is a very nice time as well in Bansko. At warm days with a breese you can walk in/climb the mountains, participate to white water rafting in spring, relaxe at the swimming pools with geothermically provided water and including bar and restaurant, visit monastries and many architectural gems and specialities in the area or just observe the mixture of old and new such as horse drawn carriages and Mercedes cars.

The Pirin/Rhodope Mountains region
The Rila Mountain The Rila Mountain is the highest mountain in Bulgaria and Balkan Peninsula as well, situated in west part of the country, surrounded by mountains Pirin, Rhodopes, Vitosha and Lyulin. Its take the sixth place in Europe. The highest peak is Musala- 2925 m above sea level. The Rila slopes are very steep carved by rivers of Bistritsa, Maritsa, Iskar and Mesta and many hollows in-between. In Rila are located the famous monastry, the Seven Rila lakes, many mineral springs and dams. Famous spa resorts of Kostenets, Separeva Banya and Dolna Banya are located here. The Pirin Mountain The Pirin Mountain is the second Bulgarian mountain area by height, located west from the Rhodopes, and south from the Rila mountain in-between the rivers of Struma and Mesta. The ancient the Thracians named it Oberus; while later the Slavs give it name Perun. The highest peak is Vihren- 2914 m above sea level, followed by amongst other Todorka (the ski mountain at Bansko). Todororova polyana and Popovi livadi deserve to be seen. The Pirin mountains has splendid flora and fauna- more 1350 plants (pines, white firs, pine spruces, spruces est.) and more than 2100 animals (bear, deer, wolf, fox EST.). World famous ski resort of Bansko is situated here. Pirin national park is favourite place for mountaineers, winter holiday makers, hunters and EST. The Pirin mountain is surrounded by tourist towns of Sandanski, Bansko, Dobrinishte, Razlog and Melnik- the area have many visitors from Bulgaria and abroad.
The Rhodopes Mountain It’s situated in-between Rila and Pirin mountains and the Thracian lowland, having flowing lays and rolling hills, which create prefered conditions for holidays. Here are located a few ski resorts the biggest one is Pamporovo. The mountain is covered by lakes, rivers, dams and mineral springs. The rivers of Arda, Vycha, Vyrbitsa and dams of Batak, Dospat, Kardjali, Studen Kladenets a part of water treasure in Bulgaria. The Rhodopes Mountain is very rich of pine and oak forests. Spa resorts of Velingrad, Narechen, Banite and Devin are oftenly visited tourist places. The unique caves called- Dyavolskoto Gyrlo and Yagodinskata Peshtera (cave) are located here.
