Linen and blankets, iron and ironing board are also provided. The Pirin/Rhodope Mountains region
Pirin Mountain is comparable to the Swiss Alps and is one of the most beautiful in Bulgaria. It is the second highest after the Rila mountain (in Bulgaria) and the third in the Balkan Peninsula (mount Vihren 2914m). Pirin is situated in the southwestern part of the Rila-Rhodope mountain range.
Pirin has the typical climate of a mountain but with a well-expressed Mediterranean influence, mainly through the valleys of Struma and Mesta rivers. This is why Pirin is the mountain with the greatest number of sunny days throughout the year in comparison to Rila, Stara planina, Vitosha and Osogovo . The average annual temperature in the area , located at an altitude of about 2000 meters above sea level, is 3.7oC. The greatest rainfalls and snowfalls come in November and December and the least– in August. The average rain and snowfall at Vihren is within the 1500-1600 mm per square meter annually. Pirins borders are: to the north Rila mountain, to the east the valley of Mesta divides Pirin from the Rhodopes. To the west it reaches to the valley of Struma. To the south the mountain is bordered on Slavyanka and Stargach. The area of the Pirin mountain is 1210 square kilometers and it is divided into three parts-Nothern Pirin, Mid-Pirin and Southern Pirin.
Bansko / Crystal Apartments area
Regnum Crystal Apartments Complex boasts being one of the closest apartments to the Ski Gondola in the famous Bulgarian ski and summer resort of Bansko - only a few minutes walk away from the lift.
Bansko, once mainly a stockbreeding and travelling merchant community, has nowadays become a centre of winter and summer tourism. The mountain peaks near the town, the numerous lakes and the old pine woods make it a popular site for recreation. In recent years, the town has gained international popularity after the start of the annual Bansko Jazz Festival and consequently the annual Bansko pop-star concert featuring top pop stars. The nearby village of Banya, located only 5 km from the town, is known for its 27 thermal mineral springs.
Bansko also boasts the only 18-hole golf course in Bulgaria, designed by the 2006 Ryder Cup Captain, Ian Woosnam. The Pirin Golf course is at a 15 minute drive from the development.
Next winter season (2009-2010) Bansko will most likely host again exciting ski events - the World Ski Cup events! Official confirmation is still to be announced. Last winter season 08/09 Bansko hosted the cancelled Ladies Downhill from the Switzerland resort St. Moritz and the Downhill and the Super Giant Slalom took place on the Banderitsa Track in Bansko. After 25 years away from the international ski scene, Bulgaria returned last season to the world ski stage.

Flights are available from several major airports. Lowcost airline Easyjet flies to Sofia from Gatwick. Flight time is approximately 3 hours.
Transfer time from Sofia airport to Bansko is approximately 2.5 hours. Local taxis from the Sofia airport to Bansko cost approximately €90.
A bus service to Bansko is also available from Central bus station in Sofia and the cost is approximately €7. Car hire is also available at the airport.
