Spacious 2 bed apartment, perfectly located on the fifth floor of a new development situated opposite the luxurious 5 star Kempinski Hotel, less than 5 mins walk to the gondola station. Master double bedroom; second bedroom comes with a bunk, single and pull out truckle bed.

The Pirin/Rhodope Mountains region

The Pirin Mountains comprise over a 100 peaks higher than 2000m, with Vihren standing the tallest at 2914m near Bansko.

Located only 1.8km south-west of Bansko is a gate providing open access all year round to the Pirin National Park, Bulgaria’s largest park at 40,447ha. It was placed on Unecso’s list of World Heritage sites in 1983 to protect its varied and unique landscapes, and over 1100 species of flora and fauna.

There are many hiking trails across the mountains which link to a number of huts and shelters throughout the park.


Bansko / Bansko Old Town area

Founded in the 10th Century and described as ‘one of the shiniest jewels in Bulgaria’s tourist crown’ by the author of Lonely Planet, Bansko successfully combines a level of sophistication and charm unparalleled anywhere else in Bulgaria.

Bansko is the host of a traditional Summer Jazz Festival, Bulgarian Folk Festival and many other cultural events during the summer. The town itself attracts visitors of all age groups offering monuments, museums, exhibitions as well as summer activities including mountain biking, hiking, tennis, golf, and swimming.

Bansko offers great skiing having benefited from an investment of Euro 50 million in a new Austrian lift system. There are 65km of pistes and new runs which are added to each year. All pistes have snow canons guaranteeing snow from mid-December to end April. Ski passes and ski hire is half price compared to the French Alps.

The apres-ski is excellent, and there are dozens of attractive and welcoming old 'Mahaca' restaurants serving traditional grilled meats and fish on open fires all at great prices. There are also a number of modern and trendy bars and clubs in town.


How to get there

Bansko is approximately 2-2.5 hours drive from Sofia, Bulgaria’s capital city, with inexpensive transfers that are easily arranged. Car hire from the airport is available, and directions can be printed off Google maps.

Airlines from the UK: Easyjet, Balkan Air, and British Airways fly daily to Sofia.

A non-refundable deposit of £100 is payable on booking.The balance is payable 8 weeks prior to departure. If you are booking sooner than 8 weeks prior to departure then payment must be made in full.

A security deposit of £100 will be collected from you on arrival which is to be handed to the Property Management Company.

Standard change-over day is Saturday, but this is negotiable at off-peak times. Guests are requested to leave the apartment by 10am on the day of departure to allow for cleaning, but suitcases etc can be left with reception for later collection.

All linen & towels, and reasonable electricity and water charges are included in the rental costs.
