Bansko sits in spectacular position beneath the Pirin mountain range and is surrounded by both the Rila and Roldolpe mountain ranges. It undoubtebly offers the best skiing in Bulgaria and boasts a great snow record along with a very long ski season which extends from December through to late April. The ski infrastructure is state of the art and the pistes are kept in great condition with Ulen’s fleet of Kassbohrer Piste grooming machines and supplemented by 160+ snow canons that cover most of the mountain area.
The Ulen Ski School is excellent and has many English speaking instructors. Private lessons and Ski Kindergarten can also be arranged on the mountain should you require them. Most of the runs are long and Tree lined and you will have the opportunity to ski a great variety of Blues, Red’s aas well as+ the World Class “Alberto Tomba” Black run. The longest run is 16Km in length and will take you from the top of the Todorka all the way down to the “Happy Endings” Après Ski bar at the bottom. The last 7Km of this run is also fully floodlit and open for night skiing.
Snowboarders and Freestyle Skiers have plenty of options here too as there is the large Platoto Snow/Fun Park on the mountain where Snow Towers, a 90mx15m Half Pipe and a range of Awesome Jumps can be found.

Thank you so much for the use of your apartment. We had never thought of Bansko as a four season resort until now. Bansko Towers offers fantastic facilities and service.
The outdoor pool, we believe, is the best we have seen in Bansko. The kids can play, swim, sunbath, paddle all in our view as we relax by the pool. The staff were friendly and very helpful.
The apartment was really well appointed with everything we needed. The views were stunning and even though the temperature reached the mid thirties on some days it was remarkably cool in your apartment and we were very very comfortable there. We would not hesitate to book this apartment again.
Thank you again.
All the best

Hi Mark & Ruth
We had a fabulous time in Bansko and we would certainly love to return to your nicely, fully furbished apartment. We would certainly recommend your apartment. It is as you will know, in an excellent location. We couldn't have asked for a better spot so near to the gondola, local restaurants and a beautiful view of the mountains. We would like to thank you for the drinks you left us...that was very kind and much appreciated.
Your apartment was spacious and felt warm all of the time which was lovely after coming in from skiing. It was great being able to alter the temperature. It was handy having heated storage for our wet ski clothing. The kitchette area was greatly used on a morning for breakfast and ideal for making a cuppa on a night. The bedroom was comfortable and we felt it was a very generous size - much larger than expected from your pics. Equally your living area was spacious and indeed comfortable for relaxing...our nephew made full use of your chess set...beating Rob to his dismay!
We looked at a few ski equipment rental shops and found one near to the gondola (on the main st) to be competitive and the staff were really friendly....teaching us some basic Bulgarian sayings. They waited for us at the end of the day and helped us carry our ski's back into their shop. We left their details in your information booklet, it was handy being able to leave our ski's etc with them at the end of each day.
We found the lifts easy to use (although I managed to fall head first into the snow on one occasion, which got a great response in laughs - a 'you've been framed' moment I've been told from my nephew!). There were plently of resting places on the slopes. The Friends cafe became a favourite with us (which you put in your info pack), our nephew enjoyed the chocolate pancakes, whilst Rob liked the chicken kebabs and I warmed up with their hot chocolates! The guy gave my nephew a free bar of chocolate one day (we noted they gave another family one too) - maybe a goodwill gesture for using the cafe a few times which was a kind touch.
It was my first experience of skiing, as a beginner it was great, I fell a few times but laughed alot more. Rob and our nephew thought the slopes offered a good range of skiing. We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and found the views of the mountains to be beautiful.
We managed to go snowmobiling (from your booklet). The guy 'Oggi' was easily contactable, speaking really good English, he explained the prices and was really friendly. He picked us up from reception and brought us back. He was keen to tell us about Bulgaria. The snowmobiling seemed safe and a lot of fun. Following this, Oggi showed us one of the oldest lifts in the area. The views from the top of the mountains of this lift spanned out onto a snow covered lake and were truly breathtaking. Although an expensive treat we would certainly recommend it and will book it on our next trip. We left a brief summary in your info pack.
The choice of restaurants were excellent. We found the locals really friendly and the barbeque food well cooked and reasonably priced. The Lazur hotel restaurant was a hit with our nephew, possibly down to the waiter who was so keen on greeting him personally on an evening and the open fire made it feel cosy. We also liked having a drink after the slopes in 'Happy End' which seemed to be a central venue for people to frequent after their day.
Overall, we had a wonderful holiday and we would certainly recommend Bansko for skiing and your apartment in which to stay. As a sun-lover, I have been totally converted and therefore, I am sure you will hear from us at the end of the year when we will be hoping to arrange our next skiing trip...
So long for the little summary! Finally, thanks once again for the useful information you provided us prior to our holiday, we wouldn't hestitate to recommend your accommodation to our friends and family.
Regards,
Helen and Rob x
