Luxury Apartment Royal Towers
About the home
Probably the largest and best equipped apartment, in one of the few five star complexes in Bansko, this must be one of the best places to stay this year!
The most important consideration when you're looking for a ski chalet is how close it is to the ski lift, and Bansko Royal Towers (BRT) is less than 150 meters from the main gondola station. No waiting for buses and struggling to carry your ski gear! 3rd bedroom is in the hall and has full size bunk bed.
This apartment is stunning, with 2/3 bedrooms and two large bathrooms; at 145 sq/m it has a wonderful spacious feel and attention to detail that makes your stay an experience to remember. Better still, unlike the majority of apartments, if there are six of you staying, there is no need to use the living room as a bedroom, or sleep on a sofabed!

Further details indoors:
Why is this apartment so special? Firstly, developers in Bansko tend to put the same kitchens, bathrooms and furniture packs in all their apartments, so if you book through a large tour operator, all the apartments will be the same.
We've stayed in apartments that the owners have never seen - if they had they might have realised the importance of bins, coathangers, shower curtains etc! However our apartment was individally designed and we have furnished it to a much higher standard. It includes the following:
42 inch Plasma television,
Satellite TV, with numerous channels in English!
PC with internet access or your use with Skype, facebook etc.
Home cinema surround sound hi-fi, with Ipod connection,
Large fridge freezer (apartments usually only have a bar fridge, so if there's more than a few of you, eating in is really not an option!)
Dishwasher (the last thing you want to do on holiday is the washing up from breakfast),
A stunning cooker and halogen hob (don't laugh - most apartments only have a twin hob),
Two bathrooms (essential if there are a few of you staying),
A bath and two showers (most apartments only have showers, but there is nothing like a bath to relieve those aching calf muscles),
Bidet - we're probably the only apartment with one of these, and it's not for washing your feet!
Two sofas and two armchairs, so room for eight people to sit comfortably,
Large glass dining table which seats eight people, and a breakfast bar in case you want to be less formal,
Desk with lamp and wireless internet access for those of you who just can't leave work behind, or want to keep in touch using Skype or VOiP,
Feather pillows (rather than those hard foam filled ones that developers buy),
Plenty of cupboards, and coathangers! (living out of a suitcase is so last year),
Second TV in the twin bedroom to watch in bed or keep the kids amused while the adults relax next door.
You'll see from the photos that the apartment is large - in fact it's huge compared with most two bed apartments. It has a double bed in the master bedroom, and twin beds in the second bedroom, both of which have buituful views to the North over Bansko, and share a balcony. The hallway also acts as a third bedroom, and is large enough to accommodate a comfortable bunk bed and a wardrobe. It has direct access to the bathroom and doors to the living room. Finally there is a comfortable double sofa bed in the living room, in case there are eight of you staying.
At 55 sq/m the living room alone is the size of some French apartments, and it has panoramic views of the Peak of Vihren, the tallest mountain in the area, as well as the ski slopes and forests.
So make your time in your accommodation as memorable as your time in the mountains and stay with us!
Further details outdoors:
After a hard day's skiing you can leave all you kit in the secure ski lockers and relax in the large indoor swimming pool, use one of the three jacuzzis, two saunas or the steam room.
Alternatively, choose to be pampered in the BRT Spa which offers Turkish Bath treatments, Massages, Masks, Asian treatments and even Erotic Spa Rituals! Once you're suitably relaxed, you can have a drink in one of the two bars in the complex, before eating in the excellent Zero retaurant, or strolling into town to sample Bansko's culinary delights.
Tip - if a restaurant needs a person outside to encourage you to eat there, it's probably because nobody ever goes back!
In summer the outside pool is the perfect place to relax, with its panoramic views of the mountains.

The Pirin/Rhodope Mountains region

Set on the edge of the Pirin National Park, Bansko is the largest ski resort in Eastern Europe, and boasts the longest runs and the most modern lifts and facilities. It is also a beautiful place to visit in Summer, with its golf course, hiking trails, fishing, riding and spectacular scenery.
You can climb the peak of Vihren - at 2,914 metres the tallest of the Pirin mountain, or relax around the pool and soak up the sunshine.
There are plenty of excursions around Bansko, including Mineral Baths and the Bear Sanctury, so you'll have plenty to do whatever the time of year.
The Bansko / Bansko Royal Towers area
Bansko was built nearly 600 years ago, and until recently was predominantly a market town. In the centre of town is a pretty market square, punctured with fountains and statues with a very Russian feel to them, and locals sitting outside cafes sipping small dark coffee. Running south from this square to the Gondola, and the new part of Bansko is Pirin Street, which is full of restaurants, grocery stores and ski shops.
Outside of the ski season, there are a number of events which take place through the year, including the Bansko Jazz Festival and Pop Concerts. Nearby Banya is known for its 27 thermal mineral springs. In summer there are plenty of hikes available from a couple of hours to several days. If hiking tires you out, then journey by mountain train (the oldest in Bulgaria) to Velingrad for lunch, or visit the Bear Park, Rila Monastery or Yagodinska Cave. You can even take a day trip to the Greek beach resort of Kavala.
If you're feeling energetic, then hire a bicycle and take one of the many cycling trips, or play tennis, go horse riding or fishing. If this all seems rather tame, then try river rafting or rock climbing, then do an off road Safari by Jeep or Quad Bike.
