The Pirin/Rhodope Mountains region
With average temperatures of 28c in July/August and 3c December -February,This region of Bulgaria is an all year round destination.The beautiful Pirin national park is the main feature of the area and being just two hours from the capital city of Sofia it is a weekend playground for many Bulgarians.Steeped in history with old medieval villages such as Leshten,Kovatchevistsa and Ognianovo,monasteries filled with treasures at Rila and Rozhen and the ski resorts of Borovets and Bansko.
Bansko / Glazne area
Bansko is a delightful town with over 300 pubs,taverns and restaurants,many providing live music.The Bulgarian folk festival and the annual jazz festival are popular events held around July and August.In summer,excursions are available nearby for hiking,biking,climbing,tennis,horse riding white water rafting,paintball,bowling,golf (within 30mins)and fishing.In the long ski season (December to May),you can enjoy the mountains which are perfectly shaped for snowsports. Bansko has a vertical drop of 1100m or 1600m if you include the gentle coast back to town. Beginner,intermediate and advanced ski runs,snowboarding ,cross country tracks,snow cannons.Exclusive 8 seat gondola cars,five 4seat lifts,one 3 seatlift, 7 drags and 10 baby drags.Ski Kindergarten ,night ski,auto read chip card used,ten mountain restaurants.Guests should be aware before travelling that Bansko is being developed by the municipality over a ten year period.This means that there is heavy construction work going on in the area.This can impede views from balconies and dust can settle and lay in external areas.Some paving slabs around the complexes and the town are not laid to the standard we are used to in the UK so please be careful when walking around.
How to get there
Cheap flights are available from Uk airports to Sofia.2 hours 50 minutes.Wizzair,Thomsonfly,Easyjet,etc.Approximately 2 and a half hours drive from Sofia or 3 hours by bus.Information on discounted transfers and car hire is available on request.

Further details indoors: A shuttlebus is available to and from main gondola station in just two minutes.The first floor apartment is accessible by elevator or stairs and has its own ski cellar .Apartment cleaning is included and laundry facilities are available in the complex.Guests are met on arrival ,given a welcome drink and shown around the area if required.

Welcome packs containing essential provisions can be provided at a reasonable cost in the apartment ready for your arrival.Our English speaking agent is available to you at their office in town or by telephone to give tips,information and help in any way possible.There is a small charge for use of facilities in the complex.Keys are to be collected from the agent's office in town unless arrival is out of normal hours.I n this case clients are met at the apartment with the keys and are charged a fee of £10.
Conditions
A £100 security deposit must be paid to our agent on arrival which will be refunded on your departure after inspection of the apartment.A £10 fee for being met by the agent outside of office hours will be charged on arrival if applicable.Strictly no smoking in the apartment or on the balconies.

We enjoyed our holiday tremendously and the apartment was comfortable and cosy-J and M Buirds (Burnley,Lancs) Skiing was wicked and the choice of bars and music was a great bonus-Mike (London) Bansko is a lovely resort in summer and Top Lodge is a comfortable place to stay.( Jackie and Mervyn Austen (Kent) Good skiing,good nigtlife ,comfortable apartment.Look forward to next year.-The Taylor's (Oxfordshire) Skiing facilities were great for all the family and the kids loved it -J .Gartell (Edinburgh)
