The apartment is situated within 2 minutes walk of the Gondola station and 10 to 15 minutes walk from Bansko Old town, with it's many local bars, restaurants and lively apres ski entertainment. Bansko Old town, is a renowned heritage site and famous for it's historical sites and monuments. The apartment is also a great base for hiking in the beautiful Pirin mountains and is only 15 minutes drive to the new Ian Woosnam designed Golf Course.

The Pirin/Rhodope Mountains region
Pirin mountain is the second highest mountain range in Bulgaria, and by far the most popular ski resort in the country throughout the winter months. Come spring time, when the snow melts, the glacial landscape of peaks and lakes, offers some of the finest walking in Europe. Skiing and hiking aside, there are over 120 sites of historical interest in the surrounding area, including the world famous Rila monastery, and because of its natural assets, the Pirin National Park is listed as a UNESCO world cultural and natural heritage site.
Bansko / Bansko Royal Towers area
Bansko Royal Towers Complex is 10 to 15 minutes stroll from Bansko Old town. This quaint village is a small mountain town with hundreds of years of history. Founded in the 10th century on a Thracian settlement, it is small enough to walk around, yet provides great variety. The old centre has traditional Bulgarian stone-and-timber houses, open public squares, cobbled streets and winding roads, together with numerous museums and churches of historical interest. The town has numerous bars, restaurants and tavernas with a lively apres ski atmosphere.
How to get there
Flights are available from several major airports. Lowcost airline Easyjet flies to Sofia from Gatwick. Flight time is approximately 3 hours. Transfer time from Sofia airport to Bansko is approximately 2.5 hours. Collection and drop-off to and from the airport and apartment can be arranged for you. Local taxis from the airport to Bansko cost approximately €70 to €80. A bus service to Bansko is also available from Ovcha Kupel avtogara bus station in Sofia (8 times per day) which costs approximately €6. Car hire is also available at the airport.

Your apartment at the Bansko Royal Towers was great, Very Spacious and warm, Everything we needed to make our stay more comfortable was there, Lovely views of the Mountains from the balcony in the living room and the bedroom at the rear We would defiantly tell friends and others of our stay there. and recommend it very highly. The staff where very courteous and helpful.
