The apartment, which is much bigger than average (140m sq) occupies the whole of the top floor, giving outstanding views of the Pirin and Rila mountains. Traditionally finished with wood panelling on the ceilings. The layout is ideal for 2/3 families sharing or a large group. It has 4 large comfortable double bedrooms (2 with additional single sofa beds) and 3 bathrooms (2 en suite). Large open plan lounge/dining area with real log fire and additional sofa beds. All linen and towels are provided. Additional Maid Service and linen change can be arranged for a small additional charge. The Pirin/Rhodope Mountains region
The alpine character of the Pirin mountains create excellent skiing conditions for the all types of skiers and snowboarders. Situated in the foothills of one of the countries most beautiful mountains. Bansko is a charming and historic town with a stunning alpine backdrop formed by the Pirin mountains. A climatic mountain resort Bansko is known as an Alpine skiing, hiking and climbing centre, but it combines it's natural beauty and outdoor opportunities with the atmosphere of an ancient Bulgarian town from the tenth century and boasts a wealth of culture and history as well as traditional taverna style cuisine and colourful folklore. The traditional stone and wooden buildings are an integral part of its charm and character and many relics and monuments survive from its past.
Bansko area
Bansko has some of the best winter skiing, snowboarding and toboganing facilies in Eastern Europe. The town is able to offer a wide choice of cuisine and apres ski all within easy walking distance of the apartment. Ten pin bowling and outdoor ice skating are also available.
How to get there
FLIGHTS Flying to Bulgaria is simple. Fly direct from the UK and Ireland to Sofia (the capital) takes about 3 hours. Due to the popularity of Bulgaria as a holiday destination, there are an increasing number of airlines now flying to Sofia from London, Manchester and Dublin. Search for "cheap flights to sofia" or look at the following carriers' websites:
Direct flights: Easyjet, British Airways, Hemus Air, Bulgaria Air, Balkan Air.
TRANSFERS We can easily arrange your transfer for you form Sofia airport . The journey takes approximately 2.5 hrs. All transfers include a meet & greet service at the airport.
CAR HIRE There are a number of car rental companies in Bulgaria or you can book in advance with one of the more reputable names like Avis or Hertz.. We have hired a car ourselves from Avis which included GPS which we found invaluable getting out of Sofia in rush hour. Once outside of Sofia the route is very simple.
