Surrounded by the Pirin, Rila and Rhodope mountains Bansko is one of Europe's top ski destinations, rich with beautiful scenery, ancient monuments, monasteries, and outdoor activities climbing, mountain biking, golf, hiking, and more this region truly has something for everyone.

Bansko is a beautiful old town dating back over 2 thousand years having pre-Roman roots, it was part of the Ottoman Empire. Once mainly known for stockbreeding and furniture production, Bansko is now an International centre for tourism, both winter and summer. The International Jazz Festival at the start of August has become a major summer social event, attracting a diverse cross section of locals and visitors to the town.

Aside from the obvious winter sports, there is a wide choice of other activites including - walking, cycling, climbing, swimming, white water rafting, sightseeing, wine tasting, horse riding and quad bikes in the mountains, karting, water parks, and the world famous Brigitte Bardot centre for rescued dancing bears being a "must see" visit. There are also a wide variety of Spa treatment therapy centres and if necessary retail therapy nearby. And if that isn't enough, the Greek coast is not too far away!
