Bansko town centre is a World Heritage site with quaint cobbled streets and lots of ‘mehanas’ (traditional taverna style restaurants), serving Bulgarian cuisine, many with log fires and live entertainment. They are cosy, child friendly and fantastic value!
Summer activities include mountain biking, walking and fishing in the Pirin National Park. Golf at the new Ian Woosnam designed golf course. Jazz and folk festivals. Ideal sightseeing base for the Pirin and Rila mountain range e.g. Rila Monastery, Melnik, Rozhen Monastery, Sandanski Spa Health resort, Belitsa Bear park.

The apartment overlooks the ski slope and is 5 minutes walk away from the main town centre street 'Pirin Street' where you will find lots of traditional restaurants serving Bulgarian dishes as well as pizza's and other more familiar cuisine.

How to get there
Flights by www.air.bg (various UK airports to Sofia), www.britishairways.com (Heathrow to Sofia), www.wizzair.com and www.easyjet.com (Lutonto Sofia). Flights ± 3 hrs. Cost approx. £150 return pp.
Transfer Sofia to Bansko £35 pp by taxi, or take taxi to Bus station and then luxury coach to Bansko approx. £5 pp total. Car hire is available from www.bulgariarent.com or www.rentacarbulgaria.com (approx. £14 per day). Cheap chauffeur driven service available from both companies.

The apartment is situated on the third floor which allows for stunning views of the Pirin mountains from the two balconies. A lift is available within the building.
Further details outdoors: The apartment is just 5 minutes walk away from the main resort centre 'Pirin Street' where you will find lots of traditional restaurants serving Bulgarian dishes as well as pizza's and other more familiar cuisine. Also within 5 minutes walk of the apartment is the brand new oudoor ice rink, state of the art ten pin bowling alley and casino.
Also available, one bed apartment in Arbanassi. Bulgaria's most picturesque village in the centre of the country, 1 mile from Veliko Tarnovo.
