Home description

Beautiful apartment that sleeps up to six people. Two double bedrooms, plus double bed settee in living room. Fully fitted bathroom with WC, plus separate WC. Flat is fully furnished and open plan kitchen contains new compliances. Living room contains large setee plus two further chairs, formal dining table (folds-up to seat 6), plus large TV with cable TV.

The property benefits from two balconies, each with views of the Pirin Mountains. Property is located a pleasant 5 minute walk from the famous taverns, entertainment and shopping area.

The new gondola lift is a 5 minute drive in a complementary shuttle bus that runs to and from the gondola every 15 mins (during ski season). For those more interested in après ski, the town has numerous bars (some of which show English football!) a bolwing alley, nightclub and a casino, all within a 15 minute walk.

Property is a 2 minute walk from a 4* hotel with reasonably priced spa facilities & treatments

Bansko is an all-season resort with Central Europe’s best skiing and a growing reputation for Golf (Ian Woosnam course). Bansko is also well suited to trekking, golf, fishing and horse riding in the spring-autumn.
Onsite facilities in the Bojurland village complex includes: indoor and outdoor swimming pools, sauna, massage, gym, ski Lockers, café/bar, communal gardens & outdoor BBQ.

The Pirin/Rhodope Mountains region

To the south of Bansko is The Pirin National Park, which combines breath-taking views with excellent opportunities for hiking and sightseeing, including plethora of lakes, waterfalls, caves and historical sights. The town of Bansko and the nearby villages are known for their healing mineral water springs, providing opportunities for rest and relaxation.

A short 4km trip from Bansko, you can see the remains of ancient fortresses in the Staroto Gradishte site.

Bansko together with Dobrinishte are also famous for their mineral springs, including the Bayovi dupki- Djindjiritsa. Other places of note are the famous Rila Monastery and, of course, the vibrant capital city of Sofia.


Bansko / Bojurland Village area

Surrounded by Pirin, Rila and Rhodopa mountains, the town of Bansko is located 925 metres above sea level, at the foot of the Pirin National Park, listed in the World Register of Natural Heritage.

Bansko is a climatic mountain resort with a short, warm summer and long winter. The average temperature during January, the coldest month, is -1.9C. Snow falls are abundant, providing a constant winter snow cover up to 2 m thick. The skiing season along the Pirin slopes starts in the middle of December and ends in mid-April. The access to Bansko is convenient even in winter conditions. The distance to the nearest airport – the Sofia Airport - is 160 km, and is covered in just 2 hours by car thanks to the existence of a new motorway.

Bansko is the youngest and best-developed ski resort in Bulgaria. The skiing conditions are excellent, with great snow cover from mid-December to mid-May. In addition to this, the resort is equipped with many artificial snow cannons. The slopes offer runs and tracks for all types of skiers, from starters (many of which benefit from the superb ski schools) to experts, and the ski runs are maintained in excellent condition, befitting a resort that is applying for the 2014 Winter Olympics. At present, there are 14 pistes - extending 65km - including a 16 km run, plus cross country and excellent off-piste skiing. Bansko is also gaining popularity with snowborders who are provided with a halfpipe facility

The town of Bansko attracts visitors with its 120 cultural monuments. It is famous for its fortified and artistically decorated houses, museums and the Bansko School of Art. A very interesting site is the Holy Trinity Church, with its 30 m high bell-tower and clock, splendid murals and woodcarvings. Every August Bansko hosts the National Jazz Fest. Museum houses and collections, souvenir shops and romantic holiday residences, hotels and taverns complement the unique atmosphere of this splendid Bulgarian resort.

The traditional Bansko taverns (called "Mehana"), with their exceptional charm and style offer local atmosphere by their cuisine and good selection of Bulgarian wines. Most of the local "Mehanas" even offer live folk music.
