Apartment 9 provides a great base for families or larger groups wishing to visit Bansko. Only 800m from the Gondola and 200m from the main town, the apartment is ideally situated for all amenities and most of all - for the skiiing. Occupying two floors, the apartment is very spacious compared to others in the area and is furnished to a very high standard.
The apartment has everything you need (including a DVD player and playstation!) and makes it a true home from home!
We have the capacity to sleep up to 16 people utilising the apartement which is located next to ours (about 2 metres across the landing!)

The Pirin/Rhodope Mountains region
The mixture of outstanding natural beauty and first class skiing conditions serviced by modern lifts have already made Bansko the premier Bulgarian ski resort. Unlike purpose built ski resorts Bansko is a picturesque town whose history is reflected in the architecture of the old town where there are over 150 listed buildings. On a recent visit, one of the greatest skiers of all time - Alberto Tomba declared Bansko to be the best new resort in Eastern Europe. It is easy to see why. The naturally varied terrain coupled with its other unique attributes will allow Bansko to continue its growth into a truly world class ski resort.

Over the last 5 years Bansko has received over 50million Euros of funding to make it the best Ski resort in Bulgaria - with a new 8 seat Gondola, and 23 other ski lifts queueing is kept to a minimum, and the pistes are exceptionally well maintained. State of the art snow cannons ensure there is good snow coverage whatever the weather!.
Apres ski forms a large part of any ski holiday and the advantages of Bansko are the fantastic home cooked local food together with superb value for money - a must for any family!
How to get there
Travelling to Bansko couldn't be simpler; there are direct flights from Gatwick, Heathrow and Manchester and more routes are being added all of the time - direct flights operated by British Airways (www.britishairways.com); EasyJet (www.easyjet.com), Wizz Air, and Air Bulgaria (www.air.bg)
We can arrange transfers from the airport for about £50 each way (for four people) and car hire is also available either from the normal sources or locally (www.rentomobile.com) which is the company we use. Driving to Bansko is relatively easy, and it is about 2.5 hours drive from Sofia airport.
Alternatively taxis are available but be aware of non registered drivers! (again costs should be about £50 each way)

Further details indoors: The apartment can sleep 8 very comfortably but there are also two single sofa beds so it can accommodate up to 10 people. Along with the three bedrooms the apartment also has 2 showerooms with WC and an en suite bathroom - (which has one of the few baths in Bansko!). The size of the apartment means that you can all be together when you want but also there is enough space not to be tripping over each other! (and there will be no fighting for the shower..)
The kitchen is fully fitted with a microwave, 4 ring hob and conventional oven - which makes cooking for the masses easier!
Further details outdoors: There are balconies attached to the bedrooms and living area which means you can look at the views of the mountains and enjoy an al fresco drink.

You will be met by a representative when you arrive - they will provide you with local information and the keys! They will also have completed the necessary local paperwork for your stay.

Full amount is payable 6 weeks in advance of your stay - the agent will ask for a credit card number to cover any breakages or damage
