We have a wonderful ski apartment to rent in the exciting Bulgarian ski resort of Bansko that is ideally located between the base gondola station and Bansko old town, both being just a short walk (less than ten minutes).
The apartment is fully furnished and has the modern conveniences you need to make you feel at home, and at 75m² this is also one of the most spacious 1 bedroom apartments you'll find in Bansko.
The apartment sleeps a maximum of five people. The spacious bedroom includes a double bed, whilst the living room has one double sofa bed and a single armchair bed. The living room also includes a purpose built blanket box to store your bedding during the day with additional drawers for clothing.

The Pirin/Rhodope Mountains region
Bulgaria is the fastest growing tourist destination in the world. Much of its appeal lies in its rich geographical landscapes including the highest peaks on the Balkans, a multitude of lakes and the warm Black Sea coast.
Our apartment is situated in the beautiful village of Bansko which nestles at the foot of the Pirin mountains and is set in some of the most picturesque landscapes in Bulgaria.
The Pirin National Park spans 100,000 acres and includes all of the northern Pirin from the Predela pass to the Popovi Livadi area in the south. Throughout this area you will find some of the highest peaks and more than 180 lakes, which are home to over half of Bulgaria's flora and fauna. The sheer faces, high altitude slopes and vast lands are an excellent location for mountaineering, skiing and trekking.
Bansko area
Bansko boasts a total ski run length of 70km covering 17 pistes and a ski season that lasts for five months. You can ski from Todorka Peak (2600m) all the way to the outskirts of the town, a length of 16km.
Bansko also has the best snow record and the longest ski season (mid Dec - mid May) of all Bulgarian ski resorts. Snow cannons (there are 160) cover most of the slopes and make the ski season last even longer. The slopes offer runs and tracks for all types of skiers and will suit both beginners and experts.
Bansko provides an interesting combination of natural beauty mixed with the unique atmosphere of an ancient Bulgarian town. While wandering through Bansko's quiet streets you will find a sense of peacefulness that emanates from the mountain peaks that surround the town.
Activities include; skiing and snowboarding, walking and trekking, mountain biking and cycling, fishing, local natural springs, Rila monastry.

EasyJet are now flying to Sofia from Gatwick.
There are a number of flight operators offering cheap flights to Sofia including easyJet, Wizz Air and British Airways.
You're generally looking at around three hours flying time from the UK to Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria.
Once you've arrived at Sofia airport you can get to Bansko via car, bus or train though I recommend a pre-booked transfer, it's not as expensive as it might sound and we can arrange this with the apartment booking. If you'd like help with any of these options then please ask.
Transfer time from Sofia to Bansko is approximately 2.5 hours.

"The apartment was perfect for our ski holiday over New Year. Clean, spacious, warm and comfortable. Good location. Only a short walk to the Old Town for access to shops and restaurants and a five minute walk to the Gondola, although I would recommend wearing shoes and carrying your ski boots. The apartment staff were friendly and the set-up made it feel very secure. The ski area was great, although when we were there they were suffering a severe lack of snow, which the snow cannons helped to make up for to some degree. Difficult town to self cater in, as the local shops aren't really geared up to home cooking, but the restaurants are excellent. Such amazing home-cooked food. Meat, meat and more meat! Excellent.
