The Pirin/Rhodope Mountains region
Bansko offers fantastic skiing, and the Pirin Mountains are very similar to Alpine skiing. There are three peaks above 2900 metres, nevertheless, there are runs catering for all levels of skiers from novice to experts and the runs are all well maintained.
Bansko area
The town itself attracts visitors by its 120 cultural monuments, its museums houses, and the permanent ethnographic and Bansko school of icon painting exhibitions. Bansko is also weel known for its excellent cuisine and lively Apres Ski !
