In an excellent location situated on the ground floor in a two building development. 3 minutes walk to the historical town centre, 10 minutes walk to the gondola lift. Double doors off the living room, lead out onto a patio/ courtyard.

The Pirin/Rhodope Mountains region
Bansko is located in the Pirin/Rhodope Mountains and lies on the edge of the Pirin National Park. The town is at an altitude of 930m and lies at the foot of three peaks higher than 2900m.
The resort not only provides world class skiing, which is alpine in character, at altitudes between 2000 and 2500m, but also has excellent hiking in the summer. Bansko has the longest ski season of the Bulgarian resorts (mid December to mid April) and is the most modern, whilst still keeping the atmosphere of a traditional Bulgarian town.

Bansko area
Bansko is a rapidly developing ski and summer resort. The centre of the town contains picturesque 18th and 19th century houses amongst which are plenty of traditional taverns (Mehana). Bansko also has an array of modern bars, restaurants, discos and a casino.
As a holiday destination Bansko is not simply an excellent ski resort, but offers an abundance of summer activities and provides great value for money.
Skiing and Snow Boarding
The slopes provide runs for all abilities from beginner to expert. There is also one run available for night skiing. Maps of the ski runs can be viewed on the internet ( www.banskoski.com). The snow fall in Bansko is usually reliable, with up to 2m snow cover: snow from mid December to mid April is guaranteed by 44 snow cannons. Snow boarders can enjoy the first snow board park in the Balkans. There is a shuttle bus that can be taken from the apartment to the gondola station.

How to get there
Bansko is about 160 km (100 miles) south from Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria. There is a regular bus service available from Sofia to Bansko.
Fly to Sofia Airport and then hire a car, or we can arrange an inexpensive transfer to Bansko.
