It is ideally situated less than 400m from the main Gondola and a short walk from the town centre, where one can enjoy the excellent après ski restaurants and bars. The apartment is furnished to a high standard with bespoke real wood kitchen & furniture and comfortable sofas.
Chalet Montagne is an established Bansko holiday complex, onsite facilities include Sauna, Jacuzzi, Solarium, Massage Room, Table Tennis and Gym. The complex also houses a cosy Lobby Bar, ideal for apres ski drinks after a hard day on the slopes. Further facilities include Lifts, Laundry and Drying Room and Internet access. There are separate Ski Lockers for this apartment.
Within close proximity of Chalet Montagne there are high quality traditional taverns offering fantastic food, and also nightclubs and bars for those seeking a livelier evening.
Airport transfers, ski hire, ski lessons & ski passes can all be arranged at very reasonable prices through my Bulgarian partner in Bansko.
Bansko town is a UNESCO World Heritage site. It consists of ancient monuments and narrow cobbled streets with stone houses with 120 cultural monuments plus museums and the permanent ethnographic exhibitions. Bansko is perfect for skiing and snowboarding in the winter and great for hillwalking, golf, fishing and horse riding in the summer.

The resort of Bansko is located between the Pirin, Rila & Rodolphe moutain ranges and it is a great combination of the new and the old ,which makes for a enjoyable and varied holiday experience. It is easily accessible, even in the winter being only 160km from Sofia to which it is connected by a new motorway
Bansko is the most rapidly developing ski resort in Bulgaria. 40 million Euros have been invested, to create a top rate facility with the best equipment, including a new gondola, snow guns &electronic ski pass system There are 14 pistes extending 65km, including a 16 km run plus cross country and excellent off piste skiing. The skiing conditions are excellent and the ski season longer than usual ( mid December to end of April) due to the abundant winter snowfall. The slopes offer runs and tracks for all types of skiers, from starters to experts, and the ski runs are superbly maintained. Another plus point is an excellent ski school for all levels of ability. Bansko is also gaining popularity with snowborders who are provided with a halfpipe facility.
Bansko is a small town packed with history and atmosphere and its cuisine and folklore are renowned across Bulgaria. Its 120 cultural monument attract many tourists and it is famous for its Holy Trinity Church, fortified and artistically decorated houses, museums and the Bansko School of Art. Every August Bansko hosts the National Jazz Festival. Bansko also boasts high quality traditional taverns offering fantastic food, aswell as numerous bars and a few nightclubs for those that really want to let their hair down.
Bansko is also becoming popular as a summer resort. The Pirin National Park is on its doorstep providing superb hiking opportunities and great views of mountains, lakes and waterfalls . For instance return flights from UK -> Sofia are from £14 per person from wizzair.com (plus taxes). Also try www.bulgariaflights.com.
Car hire is available from www.bulgariacarrent.com or www.rentacarbulgaria.com. It costs approximately £11 per day including unlimited miles and full insurance. Both companies also offer a cheap chauffeur driven transfer service for those not wishing to drive. A regular public bus runs every hour from Sofia.

Feb 2008 "We were impressed by your apartment. It's very spacious and and well equipped with lots of storage space. I really liked the real wooden furniture. The white linen and towels were beautifully soft and fresh . It's in a really convenient part of town for the shops and restaurants and it's near to the gondola. I liked the area. There are still some Bansko residents around there which added to the flavour. The boot room is great and the restaurant/bar. The service was good" - Mary
