The Pirin/Rhodope Mountains region

Bansko is Bulgaria’s premier ski resort, it has the best snow record and the longest ski season in Bulgaria. The natural snow fall is aided by 160 snow cannons which cover 80% of the slopes ensuring excellent skiing conditions all season long.

Bansko boasts 70km of marked pistes with exceptional off–piste and x-country skiing. The longest ski run is 16km from the top of the mountain right into the village. Night skiing is also an option down 7km of floodlit slope from Banderishka to the village. 25 km of modern high-capacity lift infrastructure stands for comfort and minimal waiting times.

Bansko offers skiing and snowboarding to all abilities, from beginners to the advanced. Instructors speak English and there is a kindergarten for the little ones. Lessons are available in the resort and are very reasonably priced.
