Yr Hen Weithdy has recently been converted from its previous existence as a workshop on the Penrhyn estate to provide stylish and contemporary accommodation for six guests. Combining clean, spacious and modern living spaces with added luxuries such as under floor heating throughout and a large garden with patio area, patio furniture and BBQ, this lovely property has everything guests need for a comfortable and cosy stay. Surrounded by rolling countryside, the property enjoys a peaceful location and so is ideal for walkers, mountain bikers or climbers. With its outdoor storage space for equipment (with bike racks and clothes drying cupboard as well as outdoor tap for washing down bikes and boots) it is well suited to outdoor adventure enthusiasts. Inside, the open plan living/dining/kitchen area has been equipped and furnished to a high standard and boasts large patio doors with wonderful views as well as a first floor gallery. There are also two bedrooms on the ground floor, both with zip ‘n' link beds which can be made into king size beds upon request, as well as a separate wet room with non-slip floor. On the first floor, there is a luxurious twin bedroom, boasting en-suite facilities with free standing bath and lovely mountain views.

The North Wales region

North Wales is a great combination of the family seaside resorts, which extend along its northern coastline and of course the magnificent mountains that make up Snowdonia Nation Park. Also located in this region are the very distinctive Island of Anglesey and the Lleyn Peninsula. So visitors will find a diverse holiday destination that caters for many different types of holidays from the family beach holiday to serious climbing holidays, and lots in between. There are plenty of things to do here; walking, sailing, fishing and many indoor attractions for the children. Wildlife enthusiasts will not be disappointed, with Anglesey and the Lleyn peninsula in particular being rich in diverse mix of habitats.

Bangor - Wales

Situated in a quiet position in the foothills of Snowdonia, Yr Hen Weithdy is perfectly located for exploring the beautiful surrounding landscapes, on foot or bike! The picturesque landscapes in the Snowdonia National Park and the Snowdonia Mountains provide ample opportunity for outdoor adventures, from climbing to walking and cycling, those with a passion for the outdoors will enjoy being based in such a setting. Being so close to the university town of Bangor (within 5 miles or so), those staying at Yr Hen Weithdy will also be within easy reach of all the amenities and attractions in this local town, from shops to cafes and restaurants, and the pretty little villages of Rachaub and Bethesda are even closer, offering visitors a few more local amenities to sample. Those wishing to explore the coastal destinations of North Wales can also head to the popular towns Betws y Coed, lLandudno and the medieval walled town of Conwy, all of which boast a number of attractions and activities to entice the visitor.
