The Lookout , Samui
Villa | 3 bedrooms | sleeps 6
Located on the quieter North-Western coast of Koh Samui island, The Lookout Samui offers the privacy you require from a luxury villa holiday but still within easy distance to the best beaches on the island.
The two full time villa staff will pamper and provide the comforts normally associated with high end 5 star resorts.
Our villa caters comfortably for six guests, there's a spacious 4 poster master bedroom and two large guest rooms. All bedrooms are fully air conditioned with en-suite jacuzzi bath tubs.
Our staff can provide their own personal recommendations for restaurants, beaches, island trips or perhaps arrange a Thai cookery class all in the comfort of your own villa. If that sounds like too much activity you could of course just spend the day in our hammock, surf the internet or just chill with a cool drink from our poolside fridge.
The villa's own 7 seater, 4WD SUV and private driver are at your disposal. All airport transfers are of course all included although fuel charges are on our guests own account.
We have a full screen dedicated cinema room where you can enjoy watching blockbuster movies or catch up on your favourite T.V. shows. If you are looking for something a little more strenuous then try our traditional Muay Thai kick bag or the latest games on our XBOX / Kinect. Our extensive music library is easily accessed by our dedicated iPad which provides both indoor and outdoor entertainment .
If that sounds like too much activity you could of course just spend the day in our hammock, surf the internet or just chill with a cool drink from our poolside fridge. The sala is great place to avoid the midday sun and take in the magnificent views over the Gulf of Thailand.
The villa has full air conditioning in all bedrooms and our downstairs lounge / cinema / audio room.
A fully equipped kitchen with Nespresso coffee machine are available to our guests whilst outside in pool sala we have a charcoal BBQ. Breakfast is provided with your choice of either fresh fruit , toast , cereal or full western style with sausages , bacon and egg !

The Koh Samui region
Koh Samui is Thailand's second largest island after Phuket, with a population of 50,000, attracting 1.5 million tourists per annum, with abundant resources, white sandy beaches, coral reefs, coconut plantations and an extensive array of flora and fauna.
The coastal road stretches for 51 km around the whole island, making all of the attractions and amenities easily accessible. The islands international airport is now served by Bangkok Airways, Thai Airways, Firefly and Silk Air, destinations such as KL, Singapore, Hong Kong and of course Bangkok are easily and readily available.
The climate on the island is warm all year round, with almost guaranteed sunshine. Koh Samui's transportation links have made it the main destination for tourists seeking to explore the surrounding Islands of Koh Phangnan, Koh Tao and Koh Nangyuan and also the outstanding Angthong National Marine Park.
With increased interest from countries such as China, Japan, Russia and the Middle East it has made the island a great place to not only invest but also live, with an ever increasing amount of restaurants, hotels, bars and wonderful family activities, creating great annual rental returns.
Bang Po Beach
Bang Por is located on the quieter North Western part of Koh Samui . If you are looking for wild bars and loud nightspots this isn't the location for you . Bang Por offers great quiet beaches lined with traditional Thai restaurants . We are located by the Four Seasons and away from the crowds .

"A charming oasis with stunning views"
With panoramic views of the ocean interrupted only by the leafy green canopies of the surrounding trees, it's not hard to see why The Lookout is so named. The spacious three bedroom villa is an excellent value for money option whether shared with friends (it sleeps six adults) or booked out entirely for a special celebration or anniversary with a significant other.
The internal decor of the villa strikes that hard to find mix of classy style and home comfort, and lets the external view do the talking. And boy, does it talk. Pull up a lounger or throw yourself into the hammock, and drink it all in. Chances are you will be, like we were, lulled to sleep within minutes. And that wasn't long after breakfast.......or again after lunch........
But if snoozing poolside doesn't do it for you, there's plenty to keep guests occupied – like a home cinema, internet TV with more channel options than we could count; books to read, games to play and even weights for those so inclined to maintain muscle mass, holiday or no. Or of course, you could call on the lovely Tak, who is the villa's driver, general fix-it-man and, if asked nicely, hunter/gatherer of coconuts. Tak is local and will answer all your questions about Samui and its attractions with a smile so warm we suspect it may have been the inspiration for Thailand's one-time “land of smiles' tagline. We ate out during our stay, (nearby Fisherman's village has lots of options but recommend Starfish and the Merry Elephant, and slightly further on, Ocean 11) but Tak's wife, Tan is on hand as the resident cook if you fancy eating in.
Highly recommend this place, especially for stressed out, cooped up worker bees based in North and SE for whom it is an easily accessible oasis. We're already checking out dates for next year.
Many thanks for taking the time and trouble to write such a glowing review . Once again it's our wonderful staff of Khun T&T that should take the credit , I will pass on your wonderful comments . We hope to welcome you back to Samui soon . Regards Martin

The Lookout is an absolutely fantastic villa. My husband and two boys, aged 12 and 13, have just returned from a wonderful 10 days at this amazing villa and we are already missing our time there.
Unbelievable views which take your breath away; Xbox for the kids, swimming pool overlooking the ocean, overhead projector, fabulous hammock, two huge daybeds beside the pool, wifi and a great sound system..
A driver with an SUV will drive you anywhere you wish, and his wife cooks a great breakfast each morning, She also cooked us an amazing Thai meal one night which was divine. Best pad thai and green curry I have ever tasted.. Their friendly smiles greeted us every day and we miss them already.
All I can say is wow wow, wow. We loved it and came back incredibly relaxed. Counting down till we can return again soon.
Wow , wow indeed many thanks for taking the time and trouble to review our villa and your very kind words . Glad you enjoyed your 'relaxing time' in the hammock and our newly installed sound system . We hope to welcome you back to the villa soon . Regards Martin

"Best Villa with great Accommodation n Service !"
First time going to Sa Mui with my family, and best decision in choosing to stay at this Villa over the luxury high end brand hotel. Not only that the place is fully equipped with swimming pool, xbox, over head projector, kick boxing bag, but best thing is you have your own private driver and cook who make you daily nice breakfast could also arrange for dinner if request.
Having the local driver Tak allow us to see the whole Sa Mui, he brought us to all those nice restaurants and done a lot of different activities such as flying fox, go karting, quad biking , go karting , and all other water activities which we could be flexible on our daily schedule and make great use of our time there.
I will definitely go back again with friends to stay at this villa, but seems like its quite fully booked so i will recommend you guys to book in advance
I am very pleased you had such an active and enjoyable holiday . That's the beauty of our villa , our schedule is your schedule ! Khun Tak is always very proud to show our guests around 'his' island . You are right , please book early to avoid disappointment . Hope to see you back in Samui again soon . Regards Martin

"Slice of paradise"
From the excellent communication with the owner to the lovely staff and the amazing villa, made this a dream holiday.
The property is very well appointed, with a real luxury feel to it that made it very homely for us (6 people).
The location is quiet and off the beaten track, but there is a driver who will take you anywhere who was fantastic and also had invaluable local knowledge, His wife also did a great job looking after the villa for us, making our holiday feel incredibly luxuriant.
Possibly the best holiday we've ever had, primarliy becuase of the villa and how well we were looked after.
Thanks Rob for your valuable feedback , I'm very pleased to hear that you had a great holiday . We are very lucky to have such great staff working at the villa and I think their local knowledge really does make a difference for our guests. I promise to get you another sun lounger for your next visit ! Regards Martin

"Beautiful villa with stunning view."
This villa does not disappoint as it actually lives up to the online pictures and description. The property is well presented with a great deal of thought as to what the holidaying guest would require. Bring your shorts, nothing else required.
My wife, as a restaurant owner and very enthusiastic chef was impressed with the kitchen though we ate out regularly making use of the complimentary SUV and driver. There is a great area in Bophut, Fisferman's Village with an abundance of restaurants offering a large variety of cuisine. I can thoroughly recommend The Shack which serves great steaks.
The view from the villa is stunning encompassing the entire length of Koh Phangan island. Total relaxation.

"The Lookout: Book it – if you can!"
Why booking a nice resort or a nice villa at one beach if you can have a fantastic villa with access to all the beaches (and with a private pool, a stunning view and a perfect service including a car and a driver)?
For our stay on Koh Samui we were looking for a beautifully appointed, spacious villa with direct access to one of the many beaches, but we did not want to be location-wise limited to one specific beach only.
We wanted tranquility and complete privacy. We wanted to have our own (infinity) pool, not too big (for our young children) and not too small (for us).
We wanted an unobstructed wide and stunning view (… from the pool, from the terrace, from the living areas, from the bedrooms).
We wanted to dine at many different restaurants (from 0-star to 5-star) and we also wanted to be able to shop at local food- resp. night markets and dine in our villa or at the pool side when we felt like it. For breakfast, of course, we didn't want to be limited to any fixed breakfast hours of a resort restaurant – and we surely did not want to queue at a buffet. Actually, we did not want to see any other guests at all.
We wanted to explore the island (its rainforest, cultural treasures and many beaches) whenever we wanted, but we didn't want to ever go through the hassle of renting and driving a car. Instead we wanted to have a solid and safe and air-conditioned SUV (with an English-speaking, very pleasant and courteous local driver who knows the island inside out and could do any translations as and when required) ready at our finger tips at any time (from early morning to late evening) whenever we felt like going on a short or on a longer tour.
We wanted to have a certain level of convenience in form of a decent, friendly and efficient service (like turn-around service in the morning, laundry, dish-washing and any maintenance if required), but we had no desire for this to become a burdensome anonymous “around-the-clock” operation by ever changing 5-star resort staff. We wanted to be able to simply ring a bell when the aforementioned service was needed and we wanted to be in our villa entirely for ourselves when service was not needed.
You may have guessed it by now: Though it sounds too good to be true, “The Lookout” (including the couple, Khun Tak and Kuhn Tan, who live at (not in) the villa and look after the house and its guests) provides all of this – at a very competitive value for money ratio – and in doing so “The Lookout” easily outperforms any other place or accommodation arrangement you can possibly find on Koh Samui.
Book it – if you can! You will be glad you did – and you will want to return.
Matthias Loening and Family
Thank you for your kind comments . I am very pleased your family had an enjoyable stay at The Lookout , Samui . Khun Tak really enjoys taking our guests out and showing them around 'his' island . We look forward to welcoming you back to the villa again soon . Regards Martin

"A peaceful haven in the hills yet minutes from the sea"
This immaculately clean, 3 bedroom luxury villa on a hill, with all rooms facing the sea, provided a very peaceful and relaxing haven for my family during our Easter break. The owner, Martin, certainly knows how to set-up a rewarding holiday; a beautiful pool with sea view, fully equipped kitchen, a huge screen for movies, Xbox for my happy sons and, best of all, a hammock which I spent hours in finally finishing off the books I needed to while sipping on fine wine. The villa comes with its own driver who was very knowledgeable about the best beaches, often hidden, and wonderful restaurants; we will be back !

"Lookup The Lookout"
My husband and outr two friends travelled and as we had been to Koh Samui before we didn't want to travel about much. However, this beautiful luxury villa with infinity pool and staff came with an air conditioned SUV and driver who would take us anywhere, anytime. We found the villa was a short ride to inumerable local restaurants and some stunning beaches, yet far from the madding crowd. The villa itself is placed high on a hillside and consequently has one of the best views on the island. We loved to sit on the bedroom balcony or by the pool with a gin and tonic and watch the ever changing colours of the sea as the sun rose or set. The villa is fully equipped and we even managed to watch a West Ham v Chelsea game on the giant indoor cinema screen - the only time we turned to electronic entertainment! Shame about the result.
I am glad you enjoyed your stay at The Lookout and we appreciate your kind comments . Sorry about the football result , maybe you can watch a movie on the big screen the next time West Ham are playing ?
