This vast and tranquil area of fields, pastures and nationally acclaimed wildflower meadows is a vital refuge for wading birds. The reserve is of national importance for its species-rich wetland meadows that support large numbers of now scarce ground-nesting birds, and provides a haven for curlew, snipe and reed bunting. Nearby is the famous Trout Pub at Tadpole Bridge which is approximately a mile walk and well worth the journey, it sits on the Thames.

"Lovely barn, beautiful setting"

Great barn for large groups, with lots of modern living and entertaining space. It was great venue to escape the hustle of London. Perfect for a hen do, would be fantastic for a new years eve weekend or birthday weekend with friends.

The barn was very clean, with lots of seating, comfortable beds and plenty of space!

The owners were very accommodating to all our requests too. Extra camp beds, extra chairs etc.

"Lovely barn"

We (x9) had a wonderful stay at Owl barn... Fergus and team were available to speak throughout the booking process and ensured everything was in place for our arrival. The barn was really well suited to our needs as well as clean, well located (but sufficiently rural) etc. Pictures don't do it justice! Would definitely stay again.

"Great accommodation in a fantastic location"

There were 18 of us that stayed in Owl and Rose barns in May for 3 nights. Owl barn is very spacious downstairs with a huge living and dining area which was more than comfortable to house all of us for evenings. There's plenty of parking space and even had the bonus of a sizable garden and seating outside where we were lucky enough to enjoy some of the warm weather. The location was perfect as people were travelling from all over and it's quite central for everywhere and there's some great walks, pubs and villages in the surrounding area to keep you entertained.

"Beautiful, clean and spacious!"

We had a fantastic stay at Owl Barn. It was much larger than the photos suggest, clean and very comfortable.
There was plenty of room for our party of 11 and the kitchen was well equipped to cook and provide a buffet for a large party.
We were sad to leave and I will be trying to come back as soon as possible.

Highly recommend Owl Barn!

"Perfect place for a large group of friends"

We had an amazing stay at Owl Barn recently with a group friends. The property is beautifully decorated and is perfectly equipped for a large group of people. I would highly reccomend the Lamb at Buckland for lunch or dinner; the food was delicious and all locally sourced. We will definitely be staying again!
