"wonderful cottage"

Lovely cottage clean and comfortable, and the location is great. Trip to Alnwick Castle is highly recommended, and a sea trip to the Grace Darling lighthouse. Hopefully we will be able to return one day to see the things that we did not have time to do.

Thank you taking the time to review Rose cottage. I'm pleased you had an enjoyable stay and I hope to welcome you back again in the future.

"Cosy cottage in a lovely part of the country"

We had a lovely week in Northumberland. Rose Cottage was very clean & comfortable. The bed was particularly comfortable !! Gabrielle was very helpful and gave some suggestions where to eat. She showed us the recently refurbished cottages in the same location and they looked superb. I understand that Rose Cottage is scheduled for refurbishment later in the year. Once complete it will be 5* accommodation

We intend to return as there are so many things to see and do and we will definitely rebook with Gabrielle.

Thank you for such lovely feedback. I'm pleased you enjoyed your stay and look forward to welcoming you back soon.

"Ideally situated, peaceful base for a wonderful area."

A perfect cottage for a peaceful base close to the beautiful Northumberland coast; forget about the modern world. Well fitted out for two people and the rooms are quite large; completely detached for peace & quiet, no parking issues (a convenient space just behind the cottage); all in all, home from home, but if you suddenly decide to change plans and go off out again - Bamburgh (with the magnificent castle, several good pub/restaurants, beach walks) is less than 10 minutes away; Budle Bay equally close, Seahouses (boat trips to the Farne Islands) only 5 minutes further on; Holy Island & Lindisfarne a short trip - be marooned by the tide when the causeway closes for perfect peace!
Great service from the team at Breaks for 2; highly recommended.

Thank you taking the time to review Rose cottage. I'm pleased you had an enjoyable stay. A colander has now been added to the kitchen utensils. We hope to see you again soon.

"Peaceful and well equipped"

We stayed for a week in this lovely cottage which had everything we needed. It was in a small complex of rented cottages but was situated in the heart of the country. Bamburgh was only a few minutes drive away so we had the tranquillity of the countryside together with the dramatic coast of Northumberland. Highly recommended.

"Cosy cottage with wood burning stove"

Just 20 minutes by bike from Bamburgh Castle and set in beautiful farmland. We hired bikes for the first part of our week and then a car for the second few days. Because the cottage is situated near the coast and very accessible for the A1, the whole of Northumberland is within an easy day's reach. Cosy wood burning stove and everything you could need. Thanks!

"The perfect base for visiting the Northumberland coast"

Rose Cottage was small but very comfortable and cosy, and perfect for myself and my partner to allow us to explore the Northumberland coastline. The wood burner (which came with a supply of logs) was a particularly nice addition. Gabrielle couldn't have been more helpful in recommending places to eat, providing tide timetables and local information. All in all great value. Thank you.
