We have just returned from a wonderful week of sunshine in Northumberland with our son and daughter-in-law and three grandsons( 4yr old twins and 2 yr old) plus dogs. The cottage has superbly equipped for families with young children and very comfortable. Ideal situation to travel around the area. |

Swallows Nest is absolutely gorgeous! It has a very homely feel to it and is beautifully and tastefully decorated. There are lots of toys for children to play with and books to read too. The fire in the living makes for a perfect evening! The cottage is immaculately clean. The garden is perfect for sitting, relaxing and playing in. It takes only ten minutes to walk across the dunes to the beach and the centre of Bamburgh is only a short walk away too. The surrounding area is stunning. Swallows Nest is a real gem of a holiday retreat! |

Swallows nest is easily one of the nicest cottages we have stayed in in recent years. The house had everything we needed to have a relaxing family holiday with nice decor, furniture and size but the best part was the location being so close to a fantastic beach, castle and village. We will be back again so cannot give higher praise than that. |
