About the home

This beautiful, detached villa is a perfect base for beach, golf and walking holidays as well as being very near to the old Moorish city of Murcia.

It has a large (10 x 5 metre) private swimming pool and air-conditioning in all the bedrooms as well as the living room (really necessary in the summer). The air conditioning can also blow hot air which means the villa can be used in the winter too, which is perfect for golfers.

It has a large garden, which affords you a lot of privacy and the old stone table, patio area and barbecue make it perfect for alfresco dining.

The Costa Calida region

The COSTA CALIDA has a beautiful climate and is recognised by the World Health organisation to be one of the healthiest places to live in the World. The coastline has some wonderful beaches and the Mar Menor is considered to be one of the safest places to bathe in Spain.

In recent years there has been an explosion of golf resorts and Murcia is now considered to be a golfers paradise with lots of courses available.

The city of Murcia is beautiful and has a wealth of history, particularly going back to Moorish times 1000 years ago.

For the younger generation the Waterpark and the Zoo are a "must visit".

Near to the city is the national park of Sierra Espuna, a wonderful recreational area which is very popular with walkers and cyclists alike.

The area boasts a wide choice of restaurants, which offer the best of both worlds - you can enjoy true Spanish cuisine or indeed if you prefer, there is a wide choice of international food available.

Paramount are launching a huge theme park in the Murcia area, which it is said will rival Disneyland Paris.

In 2012 the new Murcia international airport is being opened.

The Balsicas area

Within 15-20 minutes of the villa you you find all of the following:

The beautiful city of Murcia. Loads of traditional Spanish restaurants and bars near to the cathedral, the bullring, the Aquapark and the Zoo for the kids.

The amazing beaches of the Mar Menor, classed as some of the safest in Spain.

Los Alcazares, an Roman spa town situated on the Mar Menor. Here you can find many restaurants, both Spanish and international and in the summer months you can find plenty of opportunities for watersports. Don't miss the thermal baths either.

The Sierra Espuna national park is only 30 minutes away. Brilliant for cycling and hillwalking.

Numerous golf courses within 5 minutes of the villa.

The Paramount theme park (when built).

The new Murcia International Airport (opening in 2012).
