The Murcia region

Annually it enjoys almost 3000 hours of sunshine.
Bathe in the balmy mediterranean sea or the fabulous Mar Menor, a great saltwater lagoon which because it is shallow is as warm as taking a bath! Perfect for watersports, or family fun splashing around with the children. The Mar Menor is Europe's largest lagoon and is contained by a narrow strip of land known as La Manga which separates it from the sea. It is however open to the Mediterranean at its tip. It is a haven for unique flora and fauna with its salt marshes, and little islands.
The Mar Menor is surrounded by resort villages and towns such as Lo Pagan and Santiago de la Ribera. Both have beautiful beaches and there is a 4km promenade linking the two resorts. Los Alcazares is the largest of the resorts nearby and it is the closest to La Torre with extensive beaches of over 4km and again featuring a long flat promenade, perfect for a leisurely stroll or cycle whilst taking in the scenery.
At night Los Alcazares comes to life, buzzing with atmosphere in the many beach front bars, restaurants and cafes.
There are smaller villages nearby, such as Los Urrutias, Los Nietos, Mar de Cristal, and Playa Honda all with good beaches and pretty marinas.
To the south of the Mar Menor is the world famous La Manga Club, a renowned centre for sports, with three championship golf courses and a host of recreational activities. You may enjoys seeing if you can spot the 'rich and famous'!
The Costa Calida meaning 'warm coast' is the name given to the coastline of the Murcia region, which stretches from the Mar Menor to the fishing town of Aguilas. The sea offers clear sparkling water and on land you have the luxurious, long sandy beaches or enchanting little bays to choose from. There are a variety of blue flag beaches just minutes away from your holiday home by car, so you really can pick and choose to suit your taste, then relax and enjoy the atmosphere.
FUN DAYS OUT

"hidden gem - facilities to suit all"
Having holidayed in Murcia for a number of years on 'golf resorts' - this was a real find. Villa immaculate, great outdoor space and fantastics hosts in Steve and Denise. Nothing too much trouble from fixing the internet (kid's lifeline!) to recommending a chemist for my daughter's ear infection.
I think the best recommendation is would we return and yes we certainly would

"A home from home to make a great holiday"
First of all the pictures of the villa don't do it justice as it was even better in the flesh. The villa was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed and more. We were a group of 5, two couples and an 8 month old baby The villa was easily big enough we easily could have had another couple too. Everything you needed for a baby was there, handheld food blender, steriliser, high chair to list a few. The outside area is big, the pool was larger than we expected, we spent all day in and around the pool, soaking up the sun and generally chilling out. The villa has two large fridges one for your food and one for your booze, so you could stock up and keep your visits to the supermarket to a minimum. The bbq is excellent, we were experts by the end of the week so much easier than my Webber at home!! You will need a car as it rather remote but the villa is perfectly located for touring about, we went to Murcia which is rather nice with its impressive cathedral, we also went to the beach both were only 20 mins. This was our first villa holiday and we cant wait to come again!
Thank you for your complimentary review. I am really glad that you had a super holiday and that you were happy with all our efforts. It helps us to know that we have provided all that you needed to make the most of your holiday. Many thanks.

"Excellent villa, would highly recommend"
We stayed in this villa for a week at the end of May and had a great time.
The villa is very secure with high fences all around, so we felt safe at all times. The outdoor pool was fabulous and the whole outdoor area was really well equiped with 2 dining tables one with large umbrella to keep the hot sun off and BBQ.
Inside the furnishings are modern and the owners have thought of absolutely everything. We were travelling with our friends 8 month old and they had a bottle steriliser avaliable as well as a hand blender and bowls spoons etc for the little one.
It was very clean on arrival and there was cold beer and wine in the fridge as well as coffee, tea and milk there for us. There were plenty of bath towels as well as beach towels.
If there is one downside to this villa it is slightly isolated, a hire car is a must, and the area isn't very lively but if you are after a relaxing holiday by the pool in sunny Spain then this place is perfect.
