Among the most spectacular attractions of the North-West of Ireland sits this beautiful historic 200 year old hunting lodge, the Mintiagh Lodge. Built in1820 by the English landowners - the Harvey family from Ickworth, Surrey, England.

Situated among a mature forest with 6 acres of land to enjoy and explore, the mountain stream running alongside the property adds serenity to this wonderful residence. Wildlife is in abundance; foxes and badgers lazily wonder by, as the buzzards hover above. That's when you know you're in the country!

This is the ideal getaway retreat for peace and relaxation with all of the family.

The lodge is fed by a spring well and the groundwater is used for all watering facilities in the lodge. The heating system is a modern log/pellet fired boiler, which can require manual feeding with logs from the forest. (Logs will be supplied and plentiful)

Cooler bags and flasks are available for picnic days away and disposal BBQs for those sizzling summer sunny days/evenings. Towels are provided.

Close by is the world renowned Ballyliffin Golf Club, designed by World famous golfer Nick Faldo and the stunning Donegal beaches are only a 20 minute drive away. There are numerous mountains to climb and hills to walk with breathtaking views over the fresh water lakes & valleys. The Mintiagh Lodge is in the perfect location for exploring the Inishowen 100.

This can be an active or relaxing holiday to re-energise the body and soul!

"A charming lodge that will enhance your Irish experience!"

We were so pleased as we drove up the lane and saw our lodging for the next 5 days. A step into the past with all the modern conveniences. This is a charming historic home with beautiful private surroundings. great for a family or group traveling together. We were 5 adults occupying 4 rooms, all very comfortable. We enjoyed the decor of antiques throughout with a more modern family room with big comfy couches for relaxing on. When outside, strolling the grounds, you can hear the gurgling brook that runs along the property.
Close to many breathtaking sightseeing areas and the village of Buncrana. We were very well located to explore this beautiful northern area of Ireland and Northern Ireland as well. Very well located for daily exploring and sightseeing. A great morning of golf was also played during our stay. We enjoyed eating out, but also took advantage of the lovely dinning room for evening meals. We had our breakfast in a lovely country kitchen atmosphere. Being there in July, we even had a canadian BBQ of burgers one night. You can't be disappointed staying in this historical Irish home. The property's charm was part of the wonderful memories we made while visiting Ireland.
