Home description

CoolFinn is a recently renovated, four bedroom bungalow, which has modern decoration and furniture throughout, and with fantastic views of the sea and Fairhead. It is situated in the centre of Ballycastle and very conveniently located for the local Ballycastle shops, bars, restaurants and the beautiful blue flag beach and marina. Tourist Attractions within a 30 mins drive, include the Giants Causeway, Carrick a Rede Ropebride and Rathlin Island

Downstairs, the bungalow has a large living room, with patio doors to the rear garden. There is a large, fully fitted kitchen diner with dishwasher, electric hob and oven, washing machine, microwave and fridge freezer. There is also a double bedded room, twin bedded room and separate bathroom and toilet. Upstairs there are two further double bedrooms, both with views of the coast. There is also a bathroom with a separate shower cubicle, toilet and washbasin.

The County Antrim region

Go west along the Causeway coast to Kinbane, Carrickarede Ropebridge, Ballintoy, Dunluce, Dunseverick, Portbraddon, the Giant's Causeway, and the Bushmills Distillery.

Go east through the Glens of Antrim to Cushendall, Cushendun, Glenariff, Glenann, Glencorp, Glenballyeamon, Glendun, Glenarm

Or why not explore Rathlin Island to enjoy some amazing wildlife etc or take the short trip across to the Mull of Kintyre and the western islands of Scotland.

Ballycastle, County Antrim area

Ballycastle is the heart of the Causeway Coast and Glens of Antrim. A small sleepy seaside holiday resort it is surrounded by the breathtaking Nine Glens of Antrim renowned for their beautiful scenery and outstanding views.

Popular tourist areas such as the Giants Causeway, Bushmills, Carrick-a-reded ropebridge, and Dunluce Castle are all within a 30 mins drive of Ballycastle. Just a short six mile ferry trip from its shoreline lies Rathlin the only inhabited island off the north coast.

The town is also famous for one of Irelands oldest traditional fairs namely the "Ould Lammas Fair" which always takes place on the last Monday and Tuesday of August where thousands of visitors come from far and wide to sample the Dulse and Yellow Man which has been a tradition for around three hundred years or so.

With a new harbour and marina being developed recently it is now a safe haven for visiting mariners and in the summer months has ferry crossings twice daily to Rathlin Island .

How to get there

Both Belfast airports (International and City) are within 1 -1.15 hours of the house. There are now direct flights from most airports. In addition, you can catch a ferry to belfast.
