The property offers comfortable yet simple accommodation arranged over three floors including four bedrooms, sitting room with welcoming open fire, well-equipped kitchen, and a separate dining room to the rear. The master bedroom is en-suite and offers far reaching views towards the coast through the Velux windows. Merrow Lodge is an excellent touring base for exploring this beautiful part of Ireland.

The County Kerry region

County Kerry is a mystical and unspoilt part of Ireland, with spectacular natural beauty and a fascinating history. Facing the Atlantic Ocean, Kerry features many sandy beaches, rocky inlets and stunning peninsulas, with plenty of opportunities for sailing, fishing and boating tours. Inland, Kerry continues to delight, with breathtaking mountains, lovely lakes and valleys offering wonderful walking and cycling.


Ballybunion area

The pretty seaside village of Ballybunion has two main sandy beaches, separated by castle ruins. Situated in north County Kerry at the mouth of the Shannon Estuary, the village is home to the two golf courses of Ballybunion Golf Club, which features the castle on its world famous emblem. Ballybunion is a wonderful destination for a memorable Irish holiday. The local bars and restaurants incorporate fresh local produce into the Irish and international cuisine they serve, and after dinner, why not pop to the Tinteán Theatre to see one of their excellent year round performances?

The waters around this lovely village are home to many species of wildlife, including dolphins, porpoises, sea otters and seals. Ballybunion offers many scenic coastal and countryside paths for walking and enjoying the views. There is plenty for all the family to see and do, with a playground that overlooks the beach and an indoor swimming pool. The amenities of Listowel and Tralee; the many attractions of the rest of County Kerry, and County Clare which can be reached by ferry are all within reach.

Winter Short Breaks (WSB) are available at many properties in the Winter period - subject to availability. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental.

Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the Low and Mid periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday.

Last Minute Breaks (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the LOW, MID, HIGH, PEAK, XMAS and NEW YEAR periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.
