The County Kerry region

County Kerry, is situated in the south-west of Ireland and is often referred to as the 'kingdom'. Kerry has much to be thankful for, its unspoilt beauty contrasting from mountainous terrain in the south to the flatlands of the north region giving access to some wonderful beaches. Kerry is well known for its sport be it gaelic football, golf, surfing, fishing, greyhound racing, horse racing we are fortunate to have it all here on our doorstep. In Kerry, we know how to enjoy life and have many festivals from sporting to literary festivals to help celebrate key events including the St. Patricks Day Parade, the Listowel Writers Week, Listowel Horse Racing, Ballylongford Oyster Festival to the Rose of Tralee.

Whilst you are here, why not . .

· Take a few hours and play on one or both of the Championship Links Golf courses. A favourite of Tom Watson and Bill Clinton and a challenge to any golfer.

· Walk to one of the 2 golden blue flag beaches and have a swim, surf, play ball or just relax. Go for a stroll along the beach or along the cliff walk to view the Nuns strand and the Virgin Rock or take a walk from the ladies beach all the way to the Cashen - wonderful but be careful of the tide!

· Take a seaweed bath at Collin's and let the oils and minerals revitalise your body and mind. This is located in the Ladies Beach.

· Go horse riding or fishing or take a visit to the local leisure centre. The leisure centre has a swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna and gym.

· Go to the Theatre. We have two theatres locally, An Tintean in Ballybunion and St. John's Theatre in nearby Listowel only 15km away.

· Drive along the Ring of Kerry or along the Conor Pass and observe some of the wonderful scenery.

· Take in one of the many local festivals - see below

· 17th March St. Patricks Day Parade, Listowel and Tralee. Held on the Sunday nearest the actual date.

· Easter Half Marathon Road Race

End of April / Early May - Tarbert Cuckoo Walking Festival

· Early June - Listowel Writers Week - Irelands leading literary festival

· June Listowel Horse Racing -

"Great Choice for attending a wedding or similar function in Ballybunion!"

My Family & I enjoyed meeting you, and certainly enjoyed our stay in your lovely well equipped, comfortable house. It enabled us to take a part in the festivities , ie a Rehearsal Dinner for eighteen people and being able to have the groomsmen on the morning of the wedding. The photographer was able to take great pictures inside and outside your house. The heating system was excellent, which was needed on the cold windy nights. The hot water was great also, it was sufficient for all to take showers and get out early in the morning, when we had too.
Thank you again for all the information, directions and the thoughtful goodies you left for
us. It was great to be able to make a cup of tea and delicious Brown Brown Bread butter & marmalade upon our arrival. Also, for the use of your WI FI.
I will certainly keep your home in mind for the future visits and would highly reccommend it to anybody going to that area.

"A well-equipped, beautifully kept house"

We stayed with 2 young children, and the house was great. Everything we needed was there, and the owner was extremely helpful. The location was great, near to the beach and shops, but quiet and peacef… More

"The house lends itself to entertaining / socialising"

My extended family and I arrive with a lot of equipment – bicycles, wetsuits, surf boards, dog etc. There is a secure garage attached to the house for this equipment.
We also do not want to eat out all the time… there is plenty of space, ware and equipment to have group dining - we can bbq, large roasts etc.

Please note that I do not allow dogs, this was a special one off case.
