The Kwa Zulu Natal region
This subtropical part of South Africa is hot during summer months (Dec-Feb) and mild during the rest of the year. In winter (July-Aug) temperature drops to min 21 C which is still very nice! Blythedale is on the beach within Kwazulu Natal which holds the rich heritage of the Zulu's. In a circle of 15km there are 3 historical places of interest - Shakaskraal - a cultural village, the famous Shaka's Rock and tumb of king Shaka.
Ballito area
Blythedale is a small town with about 300 houses and is near (15km) Ballito where there are major shopping centres, restaurants, hospital and other activities. In a circle of about 20 km there are 3 famous golf courses - Princes Grant (10km), Umhlali country club (18km) and Zimbali (25 km). There are plenty of opportunities to participate in water sports and there is a microlight airbase closeby. Fishing, dolphin and whale watching can be arranged on site.
