How to get there
From the Airport take the N2 then Stanger turn off till you get to Ballito/Compensation off ramp. Turn left, go through traffic circle past the lifestyle centre. Go through 1 more traffic circle and turn left at the 2nd circle with the BP service station on your right. You are now in Link road, Pick ‘n Pay Centre will be on your left. The road now becomes Simbithi Drive. Continue along this road till you get to a T-junction. Turn left into Ocean Drive – Long Island complex is immediately to your left.

Further details outdoors: Thompsons Bay itself has a beautiful sheltered sandy beach as well as an Olympic size tidal pool, rocky coves and shallow paddling pools providing endless hours of fun for the whole family. There are lifeguards on duty and the beach has shark nets for your protection.
