Home description

Set in a rural location with stunning views this house is a perfect haven for Golfers, Mountain Climbers, Fishermen, Divers and perfect for the quiet family get away. Situated on its own private site with large garden area. Perfect for artists, with the local Cill Rialaigh Art Studios just a few minutes away.

A large spacious bright house with lots to offer. It has 2 twin and 2 very large double bedrooms, the double bedrooms have en suite bathrooms. One double bedroom has an extra single bed to accommodate a small child. Plenty of storage space is at hand. The twin bedrooms are situated on the ground floor. On the ground floor, there is a nice-sized bathroom with electric shower. A large living room with an open fire place. One can relax on the large couches. A fully equipped kitchen with dining area and a fully equipped utility room.

The County Kerry region

The Southern part of Kerry is enclosed by the famous Ring of Kerry. Ballinskelligs is just off the Ring of Kerry. The Ring of Kerry begins and ends in Killarney and perfect as a day trip to view the South West part of the county. The Ring begins in Killarney and incorporates area such as Killorglin,Glenbeigh,Cahirciveen,Waterville, Derrynane,Sneem,Kenmare and back to Killarney. The annual sponsorsed charity Ring of Kerry cycle takes place first Saturday of July. The route is 175km long.
County Kerry is also know as "The Kingdom" and Gaelic Football is the second religion! Man, woman and child wear with pride the county colours of Green and Gold during football season.

Kerry weather is unprecictable but is never cold as the Gulf Stream bring a steady warm air. The weather is often wet and mild with local sea mist. Frost and Snow are rare. Summer can be hot with blazing sunshine. One has to be prepared for all weathers!


Ballinskelligs area

Ballinskelligs (Baile na Scealg) is a picturesque rural townland situated on the South West Kerry Coast in the Iveragh Peninsula. A Gaeltacht area (Irish speaking) which boasts lots of historic settlements and archaeological sites. This area of Ballinskelligs is ideal for family holidays and the more adventerous holidaymaker who likes to walk, hike, swim, dive, horseride, fish, golf, canoe, scuaba dive, and mountain climb. Skellig Mhichíl (Great Skelligs) is eight miles from the Harbour. This a true expression of the heroic monastic spirit of mediavel Ireland. It is a World Heritage Site. Throughout the area locally produced food can be sampled. One can enjoy a chat with the local fisherman or farmer and enjoy Kerry Hospitality.
