Ideal for angling on Lough Mask(Wild Brown Trout, Pike, Perch,) Other angling in the area includes Salmon,Galway system , Moy, Delphi, Errif Connemara, all within an hours drive. Boats and Guides are available at Lakeshore.

For the non Angler ideal for touring Westport, Achill. Galway WILD ATLANTIC WAY. and Connemara again all within an hours drive from house. If you want none of these it is the perfect setting for just relaxing in a stress free unpolluted environment.

Ballinrobe Race Course voted best in Ireland in 2012 has 9 race meetings every summer. The world famouse Galway Races only 30 minutes away.

Mayo boast the very best Parkland and Links Golf Courses in Ireland.

There are a number of Equestrian Centres in teh area and Beach Horse riding is very popular in Westport and Achill

The Western Ireland region

The area is known as Ireland West region and is situated on the west coast of Ireland The area is steeped in History wth many notabel historical sites in the area Croagh Patrick being one of them CeideFfields in North Mayo is now World famous famine rememberance area,A lot of our history can be seen in the Country Museum near Castlebar.

Knock pilgrimage site is another important area. Unfortunatly we are not blessed with a lot of sunshine here, but there are many other ways of enjoying your holiday in the region,

Angling is very important to the region with four of the very few wild Brown Trout lakes Lough Mask, Lough Corrib. lough Conn. Lough Carra situated here . There are many and varied Salmon rivers as well with Moy, delphi. and errif bein the most famous. There are many top class Golf Courses in the region


Ballinrobe is situated in the South mayo region and is ideally suited for touring Galway, Connemare, Westport. Achill and is within amn hour of many seaside places,Ashford Castle and Cong are only 10 kilometres from Ballinrobe. Ballinrobe Golf Course is a very popular 18 hole course. Horse riding walking and cycling are also very popular in this area, Ballinrobe also has the onlt race course in Mayo with 9 meeting per year there over the summer months.
